I am going to swing by Famous Sams (Woodbine/Stouffville Rd) at about 8:30 and most likely head up to the Elmvale Zoo for the Aminal Ride & BBQ around 9ish.
PM or post if you want to meet up as if I do hear from anyone I may let my ADD take over and ride off somewhere else on a whim.
 
I should have read this last night. Wow, when I miss out, I miss out big. Beautiful day for a ride.

Anyway can 'standing' riders make plans for Sept 24/25 wknd?
 
Sept 25 I believe will be sunny, dry, warmish, colourful and a day for all to get together.
 
Anyone up for a ride today?

Once again last minute, sorry about that but that is just how it has been with my schedule lately.
I am looking to do a ride in the 300-500km range and hope to leave in a few hours.
I thought it would be nice to catch up as we have all been on seperate riding adventures lately and haven't had a chance to share the stories over lunch or a coffee and I would enjoy the company.
There is still time in the day to make it up north and back (but maybe not enough rubber).:confused1:
PM or post....I am off to do the last of my errands and get ready and will check back.

Too bad I missed this. After checking all night yesterday, I did not expect anything to happen this morning. Hopefully, you have something not-so-last-minute for this coming Saturday. Cheers!
 
I say we keep an eye on the weather and do a ride up north on the nicer day (Sat or Sun). We should put something together ASAP as lately this squad has not been able to organize a piss up in a brewery.:eek:ccasion5::drunken::tongue3::pukeright:
 
Anything for the September 24/25 weekend? I was thinking Muskoka, Saturday or Sunday, depending on weather ...
 
My hockey season starts Sunday...whoohoo, so I am only able to go on Saturday. I have heard the colours have already started changing so would love to do the "Ole Faithful" route up through Huntsville, Rosseau and avoid the 400 series altogether (it eats rubber anyway and my rear tire is on its last legs.)
If no one else throws out an idea to get us somewhere interesting I am goin' on this ride and would enjoy some company.
So to get the ball rolling how about we say Famous Sams (Woodbine/Stouffville Rd.) Saturday morning. Meet 9ish with stand-up at 9:30ish
we can always tweak it to suit, and if anyone has other ideas please speak up.

Me too..

Looking forward to the Old Faithful route...especially this time of year....was just up there this past weekend and the roads were great! Southwood was a little bumpy and the usual gravelly bits.....but fantastic none the less!

Thanks for showing up at Sam's this morning 9-9:30. I ended up talking with the fellow who sells neat stuff beside the restaurant, and bought him a coffee. Did I go to the wrong meeting point?

I hope you're not jealous, I ended up riding around in the eastern quarters and bought sweet corn from Twinkleberries. It didn't rain. The sun came out and it was a perfect day!

Sad to have missed you.
 
I, too, rode to Sam's but it was already 10 am when I arrived. No bikes around so I thought the group had left. I just learned from Osiris that the ride was held off for today (?). Looking forward to next planned ride. Cheers!
