STATEFARM HIKE - Need Advice

I never explored paying the whole year in full for any "discount" but I will inquire. SF's renewal came up with a 10% increase so I am shopping at All State, but am under 30. Will post here my findings.

Statefarm - dont
I dont know if TD does i just paid didnt ask.

Belair direct gives me a s little discount for paying up front. It works out to about $50

Try desjardins or the personal if you qualify with one of their group rates

I understand that its better to wait till I am 25 but I had a need to get a bike and try it out. So far, I love it and I'm hooked. I might considering not getting insured and selling my bike after this year, but thats a decision I will make when renewal comes. I will probably be moving out with my girl later this year and that could be the reason not to ride until I am 25 but now I just have the need to ride because im new to it and its exciting! Money isn't an issue at the moment considering my only other responsibility is car insurance payments. Yes the $4000 can be saved but Im not one to save every cent I make. The $4000 for insurance is making a dent but not a hole so at this point in my life, I can handle it. It all really comes down to how bad you want to ride a motorcycle. It's worth it to some while others think its ridiculous to pay $4000 a year to ride legally.

Its your money. Just providing a different perspective from someone who has been there.

Yes, call allstate only if over 30 and atleast 1 yr prior insurance.
number to call - 416 579 0080

Call Allstate... This year I moved over after 2 years with SF at the advice of another GTAM member.

Cheaper + better coverage.

Allstate is the new State Farm in terms of moto friendly (IMO)

/thread.

My broker just told me this afternoon the rates went up. -_- Good thing my car insurance dropped $200/yr

UPDATE:

So after talking to Dave at Bob Buszchak statefarm, the underwriter couldn't do anything so I was screwed.

Until today:

I spoke with a friend and he recommended me calling Ramila at Tom Sorrentino's statefarm. She was very very helpful and even was able to knock down the pricing from $184.80 a month to $163. I am very happy that its back around the rate it was suppose to be.

I highly recommend anyone looking for insurance under 30 with an SS bike to call their office up and ask for her.

Yikes that sucks. I'm glad I locked mine in before the hike.

If I understand you correctly, another Statefarm office gave a lower price?

I had the same BS happen to me. I was quoted a certain price, and told the rates were going up April 11th. I called April 9th to add insurance.... Once they put through the insurance the price went up. Hey Ooops we made a mistake and the rates actually went up on the 8th. Regardless of giving false information, they would not budge on the premiums.

If I did that kind of shenanigans, my customers would have my head on a platter.

(sorry If my post is hard to read, really tired)

Ugh, my State Farm renewal came in today. There is no way I'm paying what they're asking, if I can't get a lower rate somewhere else I'm just dropping my Ninja 1000 from insurance entirely. Wish I had gotten my mail earlier today, too late to get on the phone with anybody...
