Unreal! I would never do this job. NEVER!!

That's madness! Unreal is right. I was yelling at my computer "get down from there you idiot, stop! You're scaring me."

Im not one to be afraid of heights but Hell no.

I would insist on wearing a parachute and/or strapping my harness in every step lol.

Edit: At the end buddy wasn't even holding onto anything while he was undoing his harness and his buddy was climbing up beside him!

I don't think I'm really afraid of heights, but that was tough to watch!

Great vid, thanks for sharing

For some reason, before I opened the video. I thought this was going to be about an actual escalator to heaven that the government was hiding from us. Back to the video; I don't think I would be comfortable free climbing, I would probably be using my fall arrest clips every 2 to 3 rungs up the ladder.

I didnt use to have height issues but have developed them later in life.
Those guys that do that job are a different breed altogether.

Imagine the fitness level these guys have, thats some big ladder to scamper up.

You'd be pretty particular picking your weather window, the breeze 1500ft off the ground can be really different from lawn level.

You'd be ****** if the guy before you left the cordless drill battery dead........

I'd do it... With my harness clipped in, especially at the transitions.
I've done some "tower" stuff, and later on in the day you're fairly relaxed at the top just chillin out at the end of your line. After a certain height, it doesn't matter how high up you are, so if you are comfortable at 100 feet up, there isn't much of a difference.

These guys are in shape for sure, and they must have really good balance, with no near stable objects to visually focus on and the wind up there would mess with you, the top of that tower sways for sure.

I would have to make a lot of money to do the job... Money that I would be putting towards a parachute lol. End of the day just jump!

Oh there is definitely a HUGE difference between that and 100ft.

I have jump over a 100ft into water and this tower just turns my stomach.

If I could get some slightly better fall arrest gear, I would do it... I wouldn't trust my life to those goofy hooks on the open-ended ladder rungs. Aside from that, looks like fun!

I think it would almost be tough climbing those ladders with balls that big

I'd agree.

At that height, it just feels like you're in a plane. The thing that would bother me is if the wind was high. Judging by the video, the wind doesn't seem that high. The hooks and rope do not sway in the wind

There's no way I could climb that tower. Nope! Not for all the money in the world. I actually had a hard time watching the video.
I'm a bit uncomfortable climbing my TV tower to the top of my two story house, which is no more than 30 feet.

Seen that before.
In all reality, once you get to a certain height you're dead if you fall, so it's mind over matter i guess
