Square One Area - Mississauga!

hey guys, ok, so im almost sure you guys came across this thread called "mark's run". please check it out if you have not. i think it's totally inspiring and and just flat out really cool. i was wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting up for this at the spot and riding down to mohawk where the actual ride will meet. i hope we can show our support for this. with myself being a new rider, i've met a whole lot of other riders out there and developed great friendships. the camaraderie that this guy "johnny da bull" talks about with his cousin mark is exactly the reason why we meet up for rides, even if its just a quick run for a burrito. THIS is exactly why we drop our left hand to a fellow rider riding our way. so please give it some thought at least. if you can, GREAT. if not due to work or obligations, it's totally understandable. your consideration and attempt will be plenty. i have a hectic work schedule myself, but will try my best to be a part of this. i just wanted to help get the word out. thanks guys.

Rod,

Funny enough I just read that thread and I replied, then I seen yours..

I am definalitly going.. As a matter of fact I will copy and paste what my reply was on there... On to here....

I totally respect and understand what you mean. I have lost a very close person to me not from ALS but from CHF (Congestive Heart Failure). Some people may say, those are two different things... But this is where people are wrong.... Because both as well as many other things are an illness that sneak up on you, from being the smartest, toughest, most alert to weaker, slower, and some things are just better left unsaid.....

I respect and feel for everyone who has to go through any illness, and I especially feel for close family and friends who have to deal with the inevitable feelings that they (I) have gone through, as everyday life is a challenge of its own, but imagin our every day burdens, amplified by millions knowing that the one close to us may be on their final moments... having to stare at their chest to see if they are breathing... Having to stay up to ensure that they are ok... Even that is just physical feelings... The feelings that really destoy us is our pscychological ones.. They stay and will stay a life time....

Sorry for the deep novel, but especially after just a short few months ago, I truely know how it feels to be close to a person who we can litteraly say today may be their last.... As for me, it was my grandmother who I took care of everyday until it was her last.

I pray the weather will be good on the 8th as I will definalitly be there, given any unfortunate inevitable circumstance...

I will also be spreading the word to as many riders I know.. I will be coming gathering people here at Central Mississauga Square One area and riding down in a group ....See you there bro.

Taleb

^^^ The above was my reply on that thread.. So if anyone cares to join me and Rod then by all means... We will meet on Sunday July the 8th 2010 at 11:45 at Tim Hortons HWY 10/Eglinton ... We will then all ride together to milton, meet up with others who are showing support, going to ride back to toronto, then back through the back roads through the forks... Ending off with a BBQ.... I am 100% in unless an inevitable unfortunate circumstance occurres...

Here is the thread detailing the event... But whoever wants to meet up and ride down with us here from Central sauga then lets do this ..

Original thread leading to my post can be found here ...

My condolonces to you and your family brother... Like I say.. the memories are a life time.

I found this pretty interesting and ironic..

1. It was a rally to show everyone out there the importance of "KEEPING AN EYE OUT" for motorcycles on the road (Safety)

2. It was done at "The Spot" - Hwy 10/Eglinton before titling it the official spot......

Freaky yet makes me happy that our spot has history......

Check it out !

I remember seeing that thread the day it was put up. Was the third to reply, or something like that. Weather permitting, I'm there. 11:45 at the spot.

I wish I can go with you guys... most of you know I'll be lifting boxes as we are moving to Sauga from T.dot. Have a safe ride that day!

BTW. you guys might want to avoid Forks. As far as I know they closed it till November local traffic only or some sort.

saw it here in the forum.

I have put myself down to attend "Marks Run" on August 8th. Not sure if you guys are up for it but maybe we can meet at "THE SPOT" and ride down together to the meeting area? What you say?

damn, i was thinking of it but I was like, nahhh what are the odds.. thursday night, late night, pfft he's probably got better things to do..

Ah well, I will make sure to stop next time even if im like TOTALLY sure its not you... Its going to make me look like a creep but hey its all good

It might be a day or two before I start riding leisurely as I crashed my bike... Was taking a bend in the road with a jackass civic following me on my *** and when I looked in my side view mirror I didnt see that I was going to run over a man hole cover. When I went over it my back wheel slid out and sent me sliding for about 20 meters. I just got some bumps and bruises and a nice cut on my right knee and elbow but all is good :D Bike needs cosmetic work but at least it still works.

Funny thing was when I crashed 4 cops showed up out of no where, one just drove right by me, the second just shook her head and kept driving, the third decided to stop and yell from like 30 meters away "are you okay" and the 4th was nice enough to rush to me and help me up.

I was in the Mississauga Financial District maybe thats why
