Spring!

Hey guys just looking to see when your all taking out your bikes im hoping for a march 1st start

What do you ride?
I read that some people here are still riding.

As soon as I see 4-5 consecutive days of 0+ during the day, I'm out =) which seems to be this week.

Winterization? What's that...

Sabex, I see another summer of scrubbing rust in store for you. But you are one crazy mofo !!

I try to get mine out and get it ready in March, but don't start riding until we've had a good rain to wash the salt off the roads. just purchased a used FJR1300 last september. Looking forward to lots of riding this year.

I guess the fact that I only paid 1900 for it helps. If I paid 5000 for it I think I'd be a little more careful with it, lol.

I'm still riding when I decide its nice enough out. But like others have said it really depends on what you are comfortable with, how your bike is set up, and your gear.

As soon as the snow melts I'll get back on her :)

I would have rode to work today if it wasn't for my damn fork seals. Beautiful day out today

Just waiting for a good weekend, a couple of 5+ degree days to get 'er back together and road ready. I'll be disappointed if that's later than mid-march.

Have you tried cleaning your fork seals?

Not sure if you seen my post in the technical section, but my left seal is leaking pretty bad, and the right is starting to leak as well as determined by a couple members here from the pics I posted. Not sure if the sealmate would be of assistance in this case

Ahh yes, did see your thread. Not sure if cleaning is the solution.

A solid few days where it doesn't dip below zero, ill definitely be out there. Hopefully it will be gorgeous sooner than later

Waiting of the vast majority of salt to be gone and temps to be 5C or better. I know she's only a 250, but the bike is spotless atm and I'll likely be trading it in for a 600 in 6-12 months, so I don't want any rust to lower the resale value.
