Cal and Ianone? Where did you come up with that one? lol Ianone won't be moving to GP next year.
Rossi - Yamaha would be shooting themselves in the foot by giving Rossi a bike. Rossi and Jorge would end up taking points from each other leaving the door open for Pedrosa. It looks like Rossi's best/only option is to stay with Ducati.
Marquez - Done deal
Spies - If you remember, he didn't just say he was leaving the factory team, he said he was leaving Yamaha. He'll either go somewhere in wsbk or Suzuki will make an early return to GP with him as lead rider.
Dovi - Could move to the factory team but I suspect he'll stay where he is.
Hayden - He has already flatly refused the idea of a CRT ride.
There is no doubt that WSBK is second tier. However, It's not like digging ditches. For some, the lure of winning is wsbk vs. fighting for 6th in GP may be a very attractive option.
Ianone has stated he is itching to ride for Ducati, and after losing Rossi, and Haydon being iffy and not having had an offer yet, new blood may be all they have, that and Cal's determination. But it is time for a serious change at Ducati, especially seeing as Pramac and Abraham's father have both stated they wish to drop Ducati.
Rossi: Honda has already offered Rossi a satelite team, but a full factory spec bike. However it seems that Yamaha had opened to the idea of Rossi a couple months ago (exception being Lin Jarvis), while Lorenzo has already publicly stated he wouldn't mind riding alongside Rossi again. The main beef / split came after Rossi accepted a 5mill Euro pay cut thinking it was for the recession, whereas that 5mill went straight to Lorenzo's salary. Now however Rossi has been linked to $30 million salary paid by either Monster / Coke, or even Marlboro. Judging by his distaste for cigarette companies (hence the switch to Fiat), he is likely to go with Monster money as they seek to unseat Redbull. Hopkins was their experimental foray into MotoGP followed by their bump up to Tech 3. Rumor is now they are now ready to be a title sponsor. That way Rossi gets his money, and Yamaha get a champ either way, and Yamaha get a sponsor! As you know Yamaha has been without a title sponsor since Rossi left, entirely footing the bill and folding their WSBK team in the recession. On top of that Pedrosa is considered the Spanish fan's favourity soon to be bumped by Marquez. Though Lorenzo is good, Yamaha can't go wrong with pairing him with Rossi. And if Rossi is a spent force, they still win with Lorenzo and get Rossi financial support and backing. It is win win for Yam, with Honda struggling to get Marquez up to speed or properly motivate Pedrosa. Yamaha may not need to spend much, and they both secure their dominance and limit Honda. Also to note is the humbled Rossi ego, and the matured Lorenzo ego. Both of these guys together can be a dream team!
Hayden: Edwards ruled out CRT too, but his addiction to GP is deep, and he'll even put put around dead last to stay in GP. Hayden wont leave GP trust me!
Spies: Suzuki return would be interesting. Spy shots have already been seen of their in-development GP bike, but no word as to whether it will be ready for next year. None the less it would be as good as a Pramac ride. Suzuki was the career killer before Ducati ever was....Hopkins, Vermulen, Caparossi...need I say more?
