Speed Traps

Last time I checked, they hit 90k after 4 years then break 100 and hit the sunshine list a couple years after that.
I don't think the sunshine list includes there crazy OT rates...

Sunshine list does include a full salary for the year (i.e. base pay + overtime).

To add to the guys suggesting the Waze app - there is a Waze app available for BlackBerry 10 devices as well. Works quite nicely.

Speed trap set up at the on ramp going East on the gardiner from the browns line. Sitting right at the end of the on ramp so it had clear sight of the gardiner along with speeders through the on ramp. Luckily for me I was stuck behind a slow car haha

Waze is quickly becoming the Twitter of the GPS / Speed Trap World. It's simplicity is what sets it apart from the rest. Download the app and tell two friends.

Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

To all riders (especially noobs) riding north/south on bayview between steeles ave and cummer ave be aware! 50 zone - radar both ways, cops hide behind the telephone poles. second day this week they've had this setup. So easy to want to go 60 as the flow of traffic usually does down that stretch.

Just FYI.

Re: Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

Yeah also Radar Zone on York Mills Rd. east and westbounds -> don't let the short stretch of twisties fool you.. ask me how I know.

Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

Another prime spot is Bayview, between York Mills and the bridge south of Sunnybrook. Drops to 50 near some schools.

Re: Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

Perhaps you should report them in the link posted in the first message of this thread, that I have now merged your thread with?

Re: Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

Need help from a tech geek. I have a speakout plan on my phone, and it's blocking whatever port waze uses. Is there a way to change my phone (iphone 4) or waze to use port 80?

The saddest part about using speed traps to hand out tickets and make money is that I'm pretty sure I could hand out a whole book's worth of tickets just on my 40 minute commute from work to home without worrying about speeding at all. Racing, yes (and I mean actual racing, not that 50 kph over crap) but not speeding.

Perfect question for waze forums or even their tech support - I'd give that a try as this probably version and device dependent.

What the hell is a "speakout plan"?

Re: Radar Zone - bayview & steeles

7-11 has phone plans called Speakout. By far the cheapest plan I've come across, but somewhat limiting with regards to data.

I checked the waze forum (nice call) and no one has any info. Looks like I won't be able to use Waze.

Are they basically pay as you go plans? if so, most data is restricted on those because the big companies want to make money from you.

Try Trapster and see if you have the same problems.
