Hey everyone,

I'm a lazy middle age man who finally decided to get his motorcycle license, next weekend is my course and hopefully an M2.

I'll start off small next season (Ninja 250 or CBR 250) then build up to a larger bike. Good to be in this community.

Happy and safe riding to all.

thanks for the welcome guys. I just can't believe it took me so long to get my *** off the couch and into the testing centre. Can't wait til next weekend.

Welcome to the fun sport of motorcycling, good luck on your test.

Welcome!

Let us know what bike you end up with.

Also middle-aged and took the test in July. I was going to start with a 500 but got an 800.

There was a bit of a learning curve, in retrospect I might have started with a used 500 and bought an 800 next year, but --- regardless I'm lovin it!!!

Depending on your personality and how the bikes felt at the course, I'd reccomend a 500.

Cheers!

So did you take the course?

Hope you enjoyed/passed the course!

Thanks all. Did the course on the weekend of August 13, mixed weather, some rain but it was loads of fun. Got some points but passed the test. Hunting for a nice 250 for now, I want to start slow and with low insurance then go bigger in a couple of yrs.

Hope to be waving at some you on the road in the near future.
