Sony's 80 inch 4K resolution tv.... only $30,000

There wont be any new physical media formats. Internet based content delivery has already taken over. Why go to the store when you can buy/rent a movie from your couch for cheaper?

I wouldnt be so sure. Connectivity generally has to catch up to hard media, not the other way around.

Streaming or downloading a 1080p movie is still an 8-10gb affair. 4K would put movies at about 30-40gb per shot, and thats for rips.

I have a 300gb monthly cap, most other Canadians have fewer than 80 right now.

Id say we'll see a new format sooner or later. Studios arent done ripping people off on hard copies just yet.
