Hey,

I'm on the search for a new bike. However I have a very specific want in the bike I'm going to be riding.

I've become very interested in the first gen Honda Hornet, but they are very hard to come by. The gen that had the round light.

I'm looking for something that has the same similar taste and style. Something that is naked and more of a simple look.

I'm up for anything that's under 600cc because of insurance and etc.

599s aren't the most common bikes but they're not impossible to find either. Or you can broaden you search and step up to a 919 which doesn't cost much more and insurance isn't too bad. I find 599s and 919s are priced very similarly on Kijiji. Or how about a Ducati Monster 600? Plenty of those for sale and Jevco doesn't blacklist them.

You should take a look at the Yamaha FZ8 as well. Looking pretty good and its got good reviews.
 
Don't come up to often either but, I did see one on Kijiji recently. Of course it's gone now.

Along the lines of Honda's CB1, a bit pricey, the Hawk GT is nice too.

To me, the SV is probably the most common bike but, there are lots for a reason. They are pretty good machines. Yes, 650 cc's but, you can find insurance companies that don't class them as ss.
 
I don't see a lot of naked sv's. Where are you guys finding them?
 
FZ6 with a naked conversion. The conversion can be done for about $300. Bike is 600cc with a detuned R6 engine, but is not rated as a SS by insurance companies.

The nake SV 650 is also nice, also take a look at the Ducati Street fighter or Monster.
 
I'm really in the search for something that's streetfighter/ naked and has a 250cc engine.

Oh, and easy on the wallet. The search for the perfect bike is hard.

Any other ideas?

I don't think you'll find what you're looking for. The perfect bike doesn't exist. Thats why you need three imperfect bikes to make up for each ones faults.

And I wish I could find something in my price range, and insurance range. I rather pay 1000 than 2000 for insurance.
