By imports do you mean those that are only temporarily here only to play, or immigrants?
Because I suspect the kids in this under 13 league are not being drafted just to play soccer, most of them are likely Canadian citizens or permanent residents, so I don't think it is the same thing.
it's an indo league. Don't see what the problem is if it's run by a specific league for certain races. I once founded and organized a soccer league for a specific ethnic group across Ontario so we could get to know each other. Some teams would bring their non-ethnic friends and fights would break out.
The whole point of the league is not winning though some will take it to that stage with bringing competitive players.

well the opposing team coach is the one that complained, then his team walked off the field. I guess they were upset the team didn't have enough players wearing those curly shoes.
So if somebody created a white only league, no problem right?
its's not an indo only league, but the team has to have a certain percentage...
just like co ed teams that have to have at least 2 women.

Like stated before how many coed games of baseball, and dodgeball, and ultimate frisbee get cancelled each day without a news story when the team does not meet the minimum women requirements???
why would there be a problem if someone wanted to play within their own group. If the rules are defined which they are beforehand than why all the commotion. The organizers are indo and and the rules are mainly indo players. Do we expect an indo cultural community to run a non-indo soccer league?

Apples and oranges. There is no debate that there is a difference in average athleticism between men and women. Not enough women means an unfair advantage for one team, the games are cancelled due to a lack of level playing field.
Not having enough players of Indian descent hardly gives that team an advantage. Play on.
