So who here's a shiftworker?

Get some custom ear plugs made at the next bike show:) Since I got mine I've used them more for sleeping durring the day then for riding.

What are the noise reduction ratings on the custom ones? Any time I looked at them the cheap ones from Crappy tire had higher reduction ratings. Any other benefit?

Before they were made I was asked what I'd be using them for and I told them the gun range and riding. I think he added more of that goo then when just making them for riding so mine might have a higher rating. I can't remember the exact number but I have tried regular ear plugs and they are ok for short periods of time. I can't leave them in my ears cause they hurt. The custom ones are fit to you ear so there is no presure and they never hurt.

I work at toyota in cambridge and i have been doing shift work for about 6 years.

7am-4:30pm and 5:45pm-3:15am are on a two week rotation.
7am-11am 12:15pm-4:15pm(saturdays)

I never have a problem sleeping on nights, but when I go back to days, I used to be a mess from Tuesday-Thursday.

In all honesty, i find the best for me is diet. Switched up my diet on a change over weekend and have had little problems with switch over for about two years.

That freakin' melatonin gave me nightmares. I never remember my dreams, but these were IMAX sized and vivid. I have to stop playing so much Gears of War and COD on the weekends.

Odd. The first time I took Melatonin I had a crazy vivid nightmare. My screams woke me out of it.

Hell of a drug.
