So many jacket brands these days...killin my decisions...help!

bahahaha sorry that was a bad way of putting it.

but every time i pick up a magazine i see Jason Britton rockin a wheelie selling Icon gear.
I would assume the poser stunters love that ****.

I see...so I have to learn to do wheelies since I wear Icon gear...it'll be tricky to do on a cbr250...:D

Dianese, Spidi, Teknic, Rev'it, RS Taichi, - some good, quality stuff there.

A*'s I find has become hit and miss over the last few years...i.e. sometimes you get some great made stuff, and sometimes...well...not so much.

Hit up Riders Choice to see the upper end of some of the above models - will have you dry-humping the racks.

not the biggest fan of RC. but i will..

went there as a noob and their attitude was more or less gtfo
seems to be the consensus from other riders ive talked to as well.

You're right, 9 times out of 10, they will be. HOWEVER, if you go in and do your own thing and interact only when necessary i.e. you've done some research on what you're looking for/at, you'll be fine (it's what I do every time in there - I only talk to people once I need to hand over money or have a very specific question).

Check out Motorrad (BMW). Their stuff is top notch. Have both a jacket and two riding pants from them. The only thing is, if you're looking for their sports/racing jackets, then they'll likely be visible BMW logos on them (mine don't have them, b/c they're more for the street). I don't know what you ride, but might make a difference.

I have had great luck with closeouts from: www.extremesupply.com

Ironic though, because my dream jacket was the GP-R in black and green (the jacket you just sold) - but I wasn't willing to pay full price...

I love the feel/design/look of the Dainese jackets.
I am biased though, I haven't bought or tried on any other jackets as I have always liked the Dainese line. (pricey but worth the $ imo)
I have the Bora and recently purchased the Tattoo from Rider's Choice.
The Bora is perforated and the Tattoo has a stretchy material around the shoulders/inner arms. (see pic)
VERY comfortable to ride in on those hot summer days like what we've been having the last week or two.
The Tattoo breathes better than the Bora but I have no problem wearing either when it's scorching hot out.

Prices?

LoL... If you have to ask...
The Tattoo was originally $850 + taxes, John had it on sale for $699.
After taxes and a back protector G1 (or G2?) came to like $860.
They do have other models though, I just loved the Tattoo when I saw it at the show .
Go there and check it out.

yeah, its a real weird place to shop at..

Icon has a hooligan rep mostly because of their wannabe gay looking vest and the fact that they cater more to street riders than track.
I still find their leather stuff to be solid and well made. A lot of their jackets are thick and heavy with good ventilation, a proper CE back protector and full liners, many also have a more comfy straight cut than the tapered track oriented jackets, but thats a matter of personal preferance

Their Customer service group are great. Contacted me personally regarding questions I had with their products.
