SMP New Asphalt

Would be nice if they did Long 4B too but I guess it would involve having to go all the way back to before 4A as well to ensure that there is no transition at a critical point.

I would rather those corners than 6 but I won't complain. I hope they fix that mogul at 8 or whatever corner that is where pro and long meet.
 
The exit of Long 7? Yeah, that drop-off right on the line (my line anyway...) was quite upsetting last year.
 
Fixing 6A is a good thing. The chatter bumps on the entrance were brutal.
 
It may seem messed up. But the faster you go around shannonville the smoother it gets.
 
Yeah, I'm okay with the bumps at Shannonville. It's just nice to dream that one day they would just pave the whole thing instead of adding patches with bumps at the edges.
 
I wonder how the next asphalt will be on Monday. Will have to take it easy to see how greasy the fresh stuff is.
 
We had a race weekend on the new patches the day after it was laid. It was a bit slippery at first but nowhere near as bad as we all thought it would be.

That's good to hear, thanks. Hopefully it gets cool enough at night to cure it well before any cars get on it.
 
No new asphalt on the track today. and regarding bumps, a pro went down today on a bumpy patch that caused a low-side.
 
The sharp bump between 5 & 6 (long track) had been patched. Outside of that, I didn't see anything new on Fabi.

The culvert heave under the front gate has been repaired and repaved. That was nice.

I didn't notice that yesterday, but I did notice that Long 5&6 (Fabi 4&5) are a lot bumpier this year than last year...
