Smoking E Cigarette

Re: Smoking E Cigarettes

Your post puts all the blame on the smoker without recognizing the extremes the cigarette companies have gone through to make their product more addictive. Everything from selective breeding of plants to added chemicals, targetting the youth etc.

All the blame is on the smoker. who's fault do you think it is ?

You cant be addicted to something before you try it, can you ? People try it, and continue to smoke. its their own stupidity.

people have to take responsibilty for the choices they make. No-one puts a gun to your head and makes you decide to start smoking.

I laugh at the morons i see who say they cant afford to buy this, or go out for lunch, or need to borrow money, yet they always seem to have a pack of smokes at all times.

those that cant quit are just weak-willed. ( which makes me suprised that not all religious people smoke , lol )

Re: Smoking E Cigarettes

My father used to smoke a pack a day. He would give them up for Lent every year. When he was 50 he gave them up for Lent and quit for good. There's another thread on here about religion being a crock of chit. He lived to be 85 so i guess religion wasn't a crock for him.

Re: Smoking E Cigarettes

My friends wife bought it for him....3 months he smoked them, said he loved them, he could "light up" wherever he wanted...it was kinda weird sitting across our office and hear him "hissing" as he pulled on the USB powered e-cig, or in the car. I loved it too cuz i dont smoke at all and it bothers me if i'm in an enclosed space and he lights up.

Anyways, one day during lunch he pulls out an actual cig and lights up....i was kinda stunned...he went from "loving" them to "they're gimicki ****"

now hes back to pack a day...

on the surface you have a point, but its just not so simple. Trying is silly and many people start smoking for alot of wrong reasons, well really all are wrong. It becomes addictive then habitual, quiting just isn't always so simple.

I'd love to try and explain further, but lets face it, it would be a waste of both my time as well as yours. Cheers

you dont have to try and explain. I get it.

I smoked for 20 years, pack a day for most of it.
quitting isnt all that hard, you just cant be weak

What the hell does quitting smoking have to do with fairy tales? It was him and him alone that quit, not some imaginary friend.

if you want to quit......hypnosis....I smoked for 20 years, went to the hypnotist and I am not smoking.
it is quick and the craving is easy to manage.
if you are serious about quitting, this is the best way

I smoked from the age of 17 to sometime into my early 20's. You want to stop? Then stop! If have to truly want to. It can't be a good idea or something you should do. You have to want to be done with it. First week or two sucks but once you get through the first month your set!

This is my signature

I was at close to 2 packs a day. I really wanted to quite but physical addiction effects(tunnel vision, nausea) made it impossible. Zybam took the edge off. It didn't make me quit, but it helped with physical side effects. A week after I started taking it I had my last smoke and I have't had one since. No "oh i'm drunk smoke", no morning smoke, nothing. It's actually a good idea to avoid alcohol while quitting.

I just lowered the amout I was smoking to one everyday then quit.

Well I guess you are perfect.

Don't cause second hand inhalation? What chemicals are being exhaled?

You don't inhale actual smoke, no. What exactly are you inhaling?

Socially acceptable? I really hope not.

Carbon dioxide is exhaled. I suppose you may exhale microscopic amounts of the vaporised fluid, similar to the way alcohol is exhaled when you drink. Nothing that will negatively affect anyone around you.

Most of what's inhaled is steam, to carry whatever the active ingredients are. That's how I understand it. Nothing is actually burned.

Yeah I get it. Just keep in mind that people were told cigarettes were safe too. I just like to keep a skeptical mind is all. :)
