I’m on ‘sleeper bike’ #2.
First one was a Yamaha FJR. With full bags, it looked like an old mans touring bike but it went like a rocket! Spec sheet said it only made 145hp but it made all its torque down low which meant it had grunt in every gear no matter what the revs were. Man, sometimes I miss that bike....
Second, and current, sleeper is a Kawasaki Versys 1000. It’s ugly as s**t and nobody ever gives it a second look, it’s like the ‘beige Toyota Corolla’ of the bike world. Except it has the same inline-4 that’s in the Ninja 1000 and Z1000 and has some serious pull!
