As I get older I'm starting to find that sleep is something I can no longer take for granted.
Decided to look into getting a nice mattress, bed frame, pillow(s) etc.

Do any of you have recommendations for a one stop shop wherein one physically go and feel/measure all these items related to bedding prior to ordering?
So far the few places I seem to have come across on Google were online stores only...I'd rather go in person and check to see what is is I am buying before taking the plunge.

Appreciate the feedback!

If you decide to go memory foam, there may or may not be a member here who works for a company that may or may not make mattresses for the big companies and may be able to help you out.

Also, @PrivatePilot started a thread a few years back when he was looking.
A lot of good info there + places to avoid iirc

I find those dont help me sleep….

try Ontario Cannabis Store

In all seriousness I had trouble before with sleep also. At 41 the issue isn’t falling asleep but the lack of good sleep.

Might be time for a new mattress as it’s over a decade but oh so comfortable. And it may be hard with COVID to go out and try mattresses.

Try some of the online only that have a 60-90 day refund window if you’re not satisfied.

That company decided to stop selling to 'friends and family' of it's associates. Seems like too many orders were coming in and rang a bell somewhere. Sorry, that member is not in a position to help you although they personally find the mattress phenomenal.

Thank you for the feedback everyone!

Found the other thread here: Matress Recommendations

Had the day off today and stopped by Sleep Country in the morning...spent a good hour and a half over there going over all the options.
At the end of it I left wondering what route to take as prices were all over the place and I couldn't quite make up my mind.

Decided to stop by Sleep factory ( @nakkers ) after I dropped my dad off for his appointment...imagine my luck when Steven himself was there.
He made the process super easy and I reached a decision in 20 minutes.
Placed the order for three Twin XLs along with the frame and box springs for each setup - all of which were 30 inches in height above ground (as per my ask).
Perfect amount of stiffness and softness in all the right places...to top it off he even threw in around $750 worth of FREE bedding! (pillows, bed sets etc)....ended up around 2k cheaper than the Sleep Country quote.

Stuff will be delivered in around 2 weeks or so...made in Vaughan!

@POWERMAN which Sleep Factory did you go to? I too am in need of a new mattress...mine is 9 years old and no matter which way I flip it/turn it, I wake up stiff and achy almost every morning...

I was going to say, go visit Foamite in Vaughan. They have a showroom with many beds to try and they will custom cut a foam mattress for you, Choose from around 20 different foam types, from hard to soft. They make the foam and can provide any shape you desire. Even a big cube. And you can order online but you kinda need to see in person how soft/hard the foam is.

Steven is an ex-rider and used to love his R1 back in the day.
John is also at that store often...but if you see Steven, tell him Randal recommended him on the Motorcycle Forum.
I'm sure he will be even more curious about this forum upon hearing this because that's where I said I came across his business, LOL.

We went to Sleep Country, The Brick, and Leon's to try different beds before settling for a Tempur Pedic.

....I always thought backpains were reserved for the old, fat, and inactive...then I sat too much, got old, and am eating my words lol

How to ruin sleep, your memory, and physiological repair functions lol. But hey, at least you get up and take a huge **** after!

On Edgely, behind Vaughan Mills mall, if anyone wants to go there.
