As I understand it the contractor poured a slab at the front door so Mr & Mrs Jampy did't have to step into a pile of mud when they used the front door after the excavation, waterproofing and back filling. The poured slab wasn't a good idea as disturbed soil settles for years unless compacted to the nth degree, inches at a time. The slab tilted and in the wrong direction. It would have been better to use a few large patio stones that could be reset as needed.
We sliced the approximate 3' X 4' X 6" slab lengthwise into strips but the saw only cut about half way through. We then used splitting wedges to calf the strips off to lift-able chunks. We probably used a cup of gasoline which has the same potential energy as a half stick of dynamite but with better control.
For an entrepreneur, the property is like an empty canvas to an artist. Lots of potential for side gigs or full time income. There are endless opportunities depending on how much financial and time input one wants to apply. All awaiting government interference. ROI vs RRT&F (Rules, regulations, taxes and fees)
A good day, meeting and working with a fellow member face to face.
