Long shot, but did this guy eventually get a pilots license and build a special clip wing piper cub???

Seriously Rick?

Do you know Turbodish personally, you know, to have an opinion of him?

I know there are a lot of nut huggers since grinding came out. I totally expect some dick swinging comparisons to come from what I wrote although real dick swinging contests aren't done swinging someone elses dick :)

Perhaps rolling up on your best friends girlfriend after his death isn't creepy to some but I suppose that happened way before any of you knew who Jeb corliss was.
So Corliss' old lady is the old lady from a dead buddy??
That's a huge line crossed. I had a blind date set up for me after tour. I got the girls name from the mutual friend, turns out it was the girl that was with my buddy that died over seas... And both of the girls knew the two of us were pretty good friends. Neither understood when I said "no f---in way". There are just some things you don't do... Even though, I'm sure my buddy would be up for an eiffel tower any time, it wouldn't be right to go with his girl.

was that the guy that crashed into the cable?
I think you're thinking of the early wing suit jump, when they did the "over/under" with the bridge and his buddy nailed the far side edge of it... I'm assuming this is the same dead buddy.

Yeah I am thinking about that guy I was just wondering if it was the same buddy.

This guy is the ****!ng man!!

On March 24, 1944, 21 year old Flight Sergeant Nicholas Stephen Alkemade was a member of No. 115 Squadron RAF and was flying to the east of Schmallenberg, Germany, when his plane was attacked by enemies, caught fire, and began to spiral out of control. Because his parachute was destroyed by the fire, Alkemade opted to jump from the aircraft without one, preferring his death to be quick, rather than being burnt to death. He fell 18,000 feet (5500 m) to the ground below. His fall was broken by pine trees and a soft snow cover on the ground. He was able to move his arms and legs and suffered only a sprained leg. When he came to his senses and saw stars overhead, he lit a cigarette.

It was in the papers awhile ago, but there was similar case where a pilot bailed from this crashing aircraft with no chute, fell some 10,000 feet to the ground below and landed in a swamp. He got buried hip deep in mud and had to be yanked out by fire crews, but suffered no injuries. Wish I could find the article.

I don't know if you jumped with me, because I dont see your name anywhere. Incidentally, I did not make either of my 2 chuteless jumps at Baldwin. My first one August 20th 1969, was made at Centralia, near London, Ontario. The 2nd chuteless jump was made in Ohio, July 20 1972.

You say you jumped with me? I somehow don't think that is true, but without a name, I can't be sure.

I made my 1st jump at Baldwin on August 5 1962.

I guess girls won't understand that?
But for a guy that's a man rule everyone should know.

There is a big difference between jumping with no chute and landing with no chute though lol.

I was a static line student.I think that you were on a load on a Found aircraft with a guy named Oscar as the jumpmaster.Gotta find my logbooks.

bah. no one needs a parachute or wing suit to sky dive. just jump out of the plane and thats it. sky dive all the way down.

now if you wish to skydive a second time? well then........

Sorry, but you never jumped with me. I did jump from the Found aircraft a couple of times, and I knew Oscar ( Rapidus) ( I think thats how his name was spelled, but I never even once had him as a jumpaster. By the time you are talking about, I was my own jumpmaster on all jumps.

I do not know you, and can confirm I never jumped with you anywhere.

Regards
