Are you asking us for permission to wear some shoes you think are cool?
You can sport them if you fit any of the following catagories , under 25, live in a trailer park, no idea a belt could be used on your pants , the peak on your ballcap hasn't provided shade for your eyes in 5yrs. And of course if you own white rimmed ********* sunglasses
Was looking online for skateboard wheels to use as axle sliders. Came across skaters shoes that look and describe like feets of engineering. Some are pleasing to the eye as well. Can they be worn by sidewalk commandos or breach of fashion?
well , post up the brand and model and lets have a look.
Right
Gist of thread is accidental discovery of better shoe. Not previously on radar. Will 54yr. old man wearing skater shoes look gay without knowing it? Is ignorance bliss?
lol I'm almost 50 and have been wearing "skater" shoes since before they became mainstream. Unless you're gonna wear ones that are pink with flowers on them, I think you are safe from being judged as gay
A shoe choice wont make you gay. It wont even make you perceived to be gay unless the perception is made by very misinformed individuals. However a shoe choice can be telling of your individual style and how you carry yourself. You can wear sneakers with a suit. Just don't have neon soles. Converse allstars go with nearly anything, but not the red ones. Skate shoes , Vans in particular can say your comfortable. That's ok. Just don't commit fashion harikari by going to a funeral in a pair of skate shoes, don't disrespect an occasion by dressing down. Take fashion cues from George Clooney not Justin Bieber, I guarantee one will endure long after the other.
Really appreciate your sure hand on the tiller calming effect. I was hoping and praying for this answer as it reaffirms my sometimes shaken root belief system. Your detailed synopsis only adds credibilityccasion9:
But it was quite entertaining to read
That it was Deploying the word "But" leads me to believe you thought there might be a problem on my end. Most assuredly not!
No problem at all. I still wear a backpack to work sometimes. Does that mean I'm still a 20yr old kid out of school?
Can't say for certain but it sure seems like a free for all out there. Have you heard about the Mayor?
