with all the crap going on lately, it got me to thinking....

Do you really think it makes you a better athlete ?

Do steriods improve reflexes ?

give you better hand/eye coordination ?

improve your Skill ?

Sure they " allow you heal faster ", but the athlete still has to do the hard work

Its not like you stick a needle in your *** and you wake up the next day like Popeye.

I think they should allow it.

what do you think ?

edit: also, anyone who can play sports at the highest level possible , after smoking a joint, should be given extra credit. cause all i want to do is watch tv and eat

Should they? No. Not everyone would have fair and easy access to all the same things. Some of them are expensive as hell. Also for those that think you just shoot a needle and you're A rod or Lance Armstrong go try their sports. Part of what made the cycling fiasco so bad is the planners of races like the tour de france. 3000 kms in 21 days, try that without something for faster recovery and let me know how you fare. The times would be staggeringly different. That whole sport needs a makeover. As for the baseball players, A rod is an idiot as are all the rest of them. I would think the majority of that sport would be clean unless standing in a field requires superhuman strength

Really great movie with lots of good info about the topic.

I personally like the way it is now. Everyone does it in secret and there is a witch hunt every few years.

True. It's not like they ever need to run, or have insane reaction times. Anyone could hit a little ball coming at them at 95 mph and have a split section to decide to swing or not. It's not like there's any strategy involved. Just a bunch of rich idiots standing around. Anyone could play in the MLB. The ones on TV were just rich enough to bribe their way in.

Think what you will mr encyclopaedia but in comparison to most other sports they're not anywhere near the level of other athletes. Even with roids, let's see a rod hand for a one day race on a bike. He wouldn't make it 5 minutes. Rowing, speed skating, football, basketball.... All far more athletic than MLB.

Come on, don't be dumb. I never compared it to other sports. You simply said they stand on a field, I replied they do a lot more than that.

You said football? What does the defense do when the offense is on the field? I'm pretty sure their chilling on the side line. There's no point in going back and forth comparing athletes, but to say a football player is more of an athlete than a baseball player is bordering on retardation.

I say let em go. I want to see a Yankee hit a ball so hard in NY that a Boston fan gets knocked out cold in Fenway park.
Lets see a 2 sec 100m run, his feet could blow off.
Watching tour D' France riders doing burnouts getting spooled up to speed in a time trial would be something to see.

Sure, when ball players are at bat, most of them are sitting on the bench for a 10-15 minute half of an inning after most of them stood around while the pitcher and catcher played catch. If they are lucky they get 20 seconds of play time when the ball makes it out to them.
Not saying baseball is a bad sport, it just isn't as athletic as most others. Sure, some guys are fast runners, all of them have faster than average reaction times, and some outfielders have some insane accuracy at long ranges, but all in all, in comparison to most other sports it isn't that impressive.

Comparing it to football is a joke, every play is a struggle.

I say no to allowing it in sports... Just plain out cheating. I want to see what pure hard work and determination can do without anything extra.
I'm pretty sure that there is something going on with the top few MX guys... It's just insane what they do.

When millions are at stake, it changes perspective on acceptable risk. Especially if they're coming from a not-so-nice background.

Reaction times? Strategy? Steroids do what for this? Comparing a Baseball player to even a water boy at a football game is a joke. Three to four at bats and catch a couple balls does not make them amazing athletes and your previous points make you "borderline retarded" anything else oh wise one?

Speaking of 'bordering on retardation'

I never said they were amazing athletes. I said they don't just stand around on a field, there is more to it. Get your **** straight. I am far from wise. Pretty dumb actually. But it's fun.
