Should I switch?

The zx6r is comfortable as fck, but my baby gsxr, my first ever bike... I don't know if I can just let her go... I will probably have to let her off, and get my new boy, the 2013 zx6r monster edition. Meh, I'll put her up for sale soon, see what happens..

Stop calling it "her" and you'll have an easier time parting with it.

So true man. Just a thing. I am on my 5th bike now. 1st or last, it makes no difference, they are machines.
If you have money to blow and like to experiment/try new things then get a new bike every year. What's stopping you?
If you maybe had a rare vintage and lots of time and money invested, personal rebuild/project, stuff like that - then I could understand but a GSX-R?

For real? Sorry I'm biased and all but I'd keep the gsxr. Friends don't let friends drive vehicles with energy drink stickers all over them. Yep I said it. :la:

This man speaks the truth. I've had a Kawi and a Suzuki. Yamaha still looks to be on par with Honda tho

Hilarious. I've heard the exact opposite of this.

The only thing that seems to be consistent is that Honda's are the highest quality, and best for street/comfort and Yamaha's are uncomfortable (they aren't for me, though)

What's the point? You'll probably end up loosing lots of $$$

+1

Unless you really are dying to switch or you have money burning a hole in your pocket. Emotionally attached to your bike, yes we all are but it's an easy decision...

UPDATE: My gsxr got sold in 1 day believe it or not... Sold it for 10k exact. Ordered myself a 2013 zx6r monster edition! Can't WAIT!

Congrats now buy the bike you really want. If ur like me you be looking at new bikes next year.

I say do it.
Nothing like taking a loss to get what is essentially the same bike with different stickers. And think of all the advertising you'll be doing that they don't have to pay for.

Awesome.
