I just got a few quotes for a 2017 Ninja 300, Got a few around averaging $4500/year... (NFP, TD, etc...) Called Desjardins and they quoted me $2000/year for the same amount of coverage. Are there strings attached? Are there other companies that are known to have better or is this around the best I'll get (19y/o, GTA)?

Edit: Also got quoted $2550/year from Aviva.
 
$2000 a year with desjardins is reasonable imo for your age. I believe Desjardins requires payment for the year upfront if you don't have a car bundled with them however.
 
I have shopped around more than once. Desjardin has all my vehicles, but I've got about 4 decades on you.
 
Give Mitchell & Whale Insurance a call if you'd like. Your quote from Desjardins is not bad. Given your age and bike, $170 sounds about right.

For me, "coverage" and "payment terms" are factors to consider in addition to the premium.
