should I buy it? (car related)

I wouldnt do it. After all a 2008 with 82k is nothing, why trade it in and lose money on it only to get into more debt to buy a newer one?

Current generation Miatas are fun cars. Even without turbo. You can drive it through winter with set of snow tires. It's even fun sometimes, you can do doughnuts in the parking lots. In right weather it provides great experience (unfortunately this does not happen very often around GTA).
It is hard however to have it as the only car, if you don't have a bigger car and cannot easily borrow someone else's. It's a 2-seater, with tiny trunk. Great to go get some groceries (don't take wheel-cart, only hand basket), but you also have trouble if you need to get something big from the store, drive somebody to airport, etc.

obviously not in normal conditions...I'm referring to after we have **** storm like this past winter...

i drove my mazda 3 in the worst storms this winter, when the city shut down. the 3 handles it fine with winter tires on... i dunno how a miata would handle it.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned a used S2000?

Or an M3 if you're feeling practical...ish..

Miatas are meant to be bought cheap and beaten on like the little sluts they are. Buying a new Miata is like cradle robbing. It'll be a great car in a few years when you buy it for $1500 and track the living **** out of it.

I still stand by my statement. It's called shovels.

Dude, where do you live?

We had 2 different days this winter where I saw CAA trucks pulling a bunch of different RWD cars out. I normally really hate SUVs as I think they're unnecessarily large gas guzzlers but that day justified their use. Even with the snow plowers, it was extremely difficult to drive with a FWD family sedan. The only road that was clear was the 407 (sorta), everything else was literally a **** storm.

admittedly, miatas are probably cheaper to mod and improve performance...beyond even that than an s2...also s2's have terrible low end torque...miatas are also more fun.

Another who cares what who thinks? I'm sure they're a fun toy. A lot of people seem to enjoy them. Personally you wouldn't catch my dead body in one but that's because I don't prefer them. If you think it's a good deal then go for it if you'll enjoy it. To each their own.

I drove RWD sports cars exclusively for 13 years, never ran into any condition the car couldn't drive through. If I wanted to go somewhere I went, no matter what the conditions and even when other drivers were getting stuck. RWD is not any kind of impediment. In fact, snow storms / ice storms is where they shine!

daammmn i like ur taste

Id say go for it if you want the car and think you'll enjoy it! But when you say 140 biweekly it means nothing because we don't know the term. I have a personal rule that I don't take long term loans for cars. Learned the hard way when the Genesis was upside down when I tried to trade it in.

Get an S2000 and drop a LS1 in it:
