shop has bike, picking up next spring

My bike has been sitting for 1 year in a heated apt.
The oil needs an urgent change of premium oil (not sure if it's corroded); the gas has been sitting for 1 year; the carbs need to be balanced; need new fuel filter; new brake fluid ..etc (full tune up)

I'm basically looking to have the bike refurbished to show room condition.

1) doing awalk around the bike, you'll notice sludge build up around the chain/sprocket
2) blue chain/blue sprocket
3) blue pazzo levers (standard size)
4) fresh brake lines (white or black)
5) new brake pads
6) need new windshield (smoke)
7) new frame sliders (decent ones)
8 )new bearings middle of rim (make squeaking sound)
9) new battery
10) good clean/fresh coat of hot wax
11) new hid headlights

all for $2300 ????
 
Talk to Ken (kneedragger88), great rates, well respected and stores/works on bikes every winter.

$2300 seems high to me, but others are much more competent with pricing.
 
2300 does seem a little high, but not terribly. Seems like its gonna take ALOT of hours, not to mention storage and parts. Showroom quality usually doesn't come cheap especially if you're doing upgrades as well
 
For the Pazzo's I would look into the ebay specials as they look identical for couple hundred bucks cheaper, Same witht he HID's as you can get tons of sets for under $100 that are the same quality as the store brand ones.

Careful with eBay levers, I dunno, I've heard horror stories of a bit of misalignment causing brakes to stick suddenly, something about the venting hole getting covered enough to cause the plunger to get pressed and BAM. [Story here](http://cbrforum.com/forum/general-tech-9/crash-caused-ebay-levers-dont-cheap-out-136209/#post1146206)

Just something I read. **** if I know if it's true.
 
Take your bike from there and have JohnnyP636 do the work for you...
He'll save you a ton on labor and give you honest advice.
You won't regret it, he's out in Mississauga, PM me if you want his contact info.
 
ebay levers are fine, just go to the 99.9% sellers and read the reviews. I have been running ebay pazzos for 5 years, they are CNC aluminum (not cast) and identical to the pazzos.
Even come in more colours. just check it hits the plunger proper and your good...its a very simple system the lever/where it contacts the plunger

2300 way too high...what shop quoted you this?
