My helmet doesn't have speaker cut outs, and it doesn't fit well when I have earphones on. My earphone cable snapped because the helmet is a perfect fit.

Besides, I would still prefer an AR display to voice.

I don't believe there aren't earphone options for you

for a few hundred bucks you can mount a proper GPS
get all the vital data you need, or just don't look at it
enjoy the scenery

The whole point of a HUD is to keep your eyes on the road and not looking down at a GPS or anything else and enjoy the scenery with a light image transposed over it. If you are going to do it right with a GPS, waterproof, mount and wiring you are going to be close to 1K already.

no.....200 for a basic GPS, 30 bucks for a WP enclosure
the GSA bros are the ones that need to spend a grand on a Zumo

plenty of opportunities to glance down at it safely
gather the info you need in a second or two
then carry on enjoying the scenery - unobstructed
