I used knopftours.com to ship, receive, insure, and store my bike in Heidelberg, Germany last winter.

If you can get your bike down to Florida before mid-to-late March, you can take advantage of his shipping container in Orlando and get a great deal on shipping. It helps if you have a spare bike though, so you aren't bikeless while your European ride waits for your arrival. Cost me about US$1330 to get it over, which includes the $130 for the mandatory month of "Green Card" insurance it requires to be taken off the boat in Europe.

There are other options, like Air Canada Cargo, where you essentially fly over on the same plane as your bike. I don't know much about the, except a lot of glowing reviews from about 4-5 years ago on the forums.

It is often much more expensive to ship a bike back to Canada than it is to ship to Europe. I had just upgraded bikes but still had the old VFR. Now it makes the perfect companion for my Euro trips and at US$300/year to store it at knopftours, it is never coming back.
