Shipping a bike cross country

Anyone done this before? What are the costs and any recommendations? Cousins needs to ship a HD from Edmonton...

I used Mackie Transport (http://www.mackiegroup.com/) to ship from Edmonton->Toronto, believe cost was around $600 and took approx. 1 week.

Give http://www.fastfrate.com/ a call. I shipped a bike to Vancouver with them a few years ago for around $300 insured.

I had to do a bit of work though... at the time I got a crate from Envy Rides, trailered the crate and the bike to the Fastfrate terminal, crated the bike up in their yard and they came with a forklift and got it. That way I knew it was securely strapped down and tarped so the chances of something going wrong were minimal.

It made it to Vancouver with no issues at all.
