Shed storage

Bounce sheets work! Stuff them in the exhaust and anywhere else there are openings etc.

Be careful with bounce sheets. They lose their smell quickly, and the mice become prone to them fast.
They end up building nests out of them within a month or so .. apparently they are quite fluffy and soft for the lil bastards.

I soak a rag with gas or kerosen before stuffing it in the exhaust then place a plactic bag over it and tape it shut.

You know if I were to just throw it in the shed and not think twice about it nothing would happen, now that Im actually putting some thought into it I bet the mice will be all over it.

Is that the worry? These bikes must be too fragile to even ride on the road then....

LOL couldn't agree more. My first three years of street riding had me storing my bike in a tin shed with nothing more than a thin bed sheet over it. No fresh oil, no stuffing the tailpipe, tires were on the bike and on the cold concrete floor all winter, the only thing I did consistent each year was pull the battery and put stabil in the tank, sometimes not even filling the tank! I put 23,000kms on that bike, sold it and the current owner has racked up another 50,000. That bike has spent it's recent years outside, still runs like a dream never any troubles.

My storage procedures have changed over the years but just to put some of the newbs minds at ease, your bike isn't going to self destruct if you can't store it in a heated garage with the wheels off the ground. : )
