Shark Tank

Both times, I got looked over for characters that made for better reality tv ratings who I later saw some of on that season's episodes. I guess I wasn't crazy or outrageous enough to make it.

Or your product wasn't interesting enough for a general audience. Sorry to say but a hockey puck with an indent carved out doesn't make for engaging television. Besides, a crushed pop can does the same job, fits in my back pocket and is free. Nevertheless, good luck with your product and business.

Kevin is really annoying.

Couldn't agree more, and definitely prefer DD over Shark.

What always bugged me with Kevin (especially when Brett was still on the show), was how much he discounts 'good luck' or a little 'break'. I'm sure they've all had a lucky break, or a lucky networking connection, or a lucky super star new hire, etc. etc.

At some point in the past, I had to deal with a couple of the companies that were picked up by a certain dragon(s).... and one that was turned down on the show, but given some help afterwards anyway....
Neither Robert or Kevin are honest about the wealth on those shows...

I've been to two auditions for Dragon's Den. Both times, there were producers there who did the interviews to decide who should be considered to get on the show. Both times, these same producers (and other contestants) were impressed with my product (the ParkingPuck). I explained that I had sales, marketing, a business plan, and, a pitch. Both times, I got looked over for characters that made for better reality tv ratings who I later saw some of on that season's episodes. I guess I wasn't crazy or outrageous enough to make it.

Your product wouldn't be appropriate for DD anyway... There is no reason for you to actually need the dragons for anything.

Tonites Shark show was the best yet.

The lawyer guy at the end was quite slick. Appeared to me like he got under the sharks skin and ruffled some feathers.

Watching Kevin kiss that old shark broad on TV...... Priceless! :lmao:

No doubt that there was a little luck somewhere.

Millionaires exaggerating their wealth?

That lawyer gave them a bit of a taste of their own medicine. I think it was as much for his own self promotion as anything else.

I watched a recap show last week and what bothered me was how fast all of them could say "Move production to China." There is no arguement that China = cheap but has it gone to the point that we don't even think about Canada anymore.
