Servicing 1198S In The GTA?

Z1 Cycletech.

These guys couldn't even tighten an oil filter properly and reused an absolutely mangled crush washer, completely botched my oil change. Didn't even trust them to fix their **** up after that, took it to GP Bikes to get it fixed properly. Nice people there, but I'm not going back to Z1.

(Just as an FYI, I didn't do the change myself because I'd had a minor oil leak prior that I thought was my fault)

GP's service department tends to be booked weeks in advance all season. If you're looking for a place to trust your Ducati with stick with a dealer. Craig, the tech at Peninsula Ducati in Oakville, is trained to work on your bike and know his stuff. Wait times are no where near GP's and if you ever need to talk directly to the tech just ask for him. Peninsula and Craig have always been good to me.

I'll chime in and say a +1 to Craig. Regardless of what you think of the upfront service at the desk, he's the mechanic working on your bike. Craig is great and helpful when you have questions to ask. I don't hesitate to bring my bike to him.

Can't say I've had anything remotely close to that happen to me there.....been extremely thorough and professional in several visits. Most recently they fixed nearly $5000 of crash damage to a degree that the bike looks and feels like new.

Hey guys, Im getting back into riding after 5 years off. Just bought a 09 1198S. I have a lot of carbon fiber parts I would like to get installed and have the whole bike serviced. Can anyone give me some input as to where I can take the bike in the GTA? Im scared of mechanics joy riding my bike from the stories I hear, and also want to know they will do a good job.

How is GP Bikes in Whitby? Anyone take their bikes there? Thanks guys.

I've only have 3 interactions with Z1, but they were all positive. I've talked to the owner on several occassions out side of work and he comes across as a stand up guy. Perhaps your issue was isolated, not marginalizing it though.

Yeah, for sure. I went there due to recommendations. Glen was super nice, didn't meet any of the guys in the back, but maybe they had a new guy on it, I dunno.

Installing carbon fiber bits? This is my favorite shop to perform this work:

+1 for George at Corsa Meccanica. I took my 1198 there and was really impressed with them.

Thanks for that. Looking for somebody that can re flash my ECU. Ducati Diavel.
You're not the only one. I was going to get the equipment, but at $300 per flash "license fee" screw that, I want to be able to charge what I like, and $300 is way over what I normally do! lol.
