Hey guys, Im getting back into riding after 5 years off. Just bought a 09 1198S. I have a lot of carbon fiber parts I would like to get installed and have the whole bike serviced. Can anyone give me some input as to where I can take the bike in the GTA? Im scared of mechanics joy riding my bike from the stories I hear, and also want to know they will do a good job.

How is GP Bikes in Whitby? Anyone take their bikes there? Thanks guys.

George

GP Bikes is great, you want to talk to Ken in service department, he's the Ducati master.
There is also a guy... Giovanni? He's on his site... Aparrently great work.

Please go into detail about these joyriding mechanics. I would love to hear more about this.

Thanks guys!

REDBALLS : I have a friend who dropped off his GSXR1000 and another friend who left a T-Rex in 2 known shops in the GTA. The GSXR had an extra 50KM when it was picked up and the Trex was taken without permission and crashed in a ditch. I have 4 good friends who all ride and they told me since I just bought a nice bike, careful where I leave it as some shops have mechanics who would take it out if they got the chance. I was told to only go to well known shops.

Dukes had my bike for 8 days to Dyno tune it. With the hope of doing the ECU. Could not do it as they said they did not have the latest Software. (Ducati Diavel)

GP's service department tends to be booked weeks in advance all season. If you're looking for a place to trust your Ducati with stick with a dealer. Craig, the tech at Peninsula Ducati in Oakville, is trained to work on your bike and know his stuff. Wait times are no where near GP's and if you ever need to talk directly to the tech just ask for him. Peninsula and Craig have always been good to me.

GP is that booked up huh? Had no idea.

Well I can't say for sure right now because I havent called them recently but I wouldnt be surprised if you're waiting 2-3 weeks to get your bike in. Think about it they sell many different brands of new and used bikes and service them all too. Peninsula only sells and services Ducati (as far as I know). Ive never had to wait more than 2-3 days to get my bike in for service (even at the peak service time in the spring).

The reason the wait times are so short at Peninsula is because starting from the owner all the way to the service manager, John, you have a bunch of a**holes that have no clue! No one wants to deal with these idiots.

Like I said, Peninsula and Craig have always been good to me. Im not gonna defend them or promote them, just sharing my experience. Btw they recently hired a new service manager.

Hi Guys, don't waste your time regarding found Ducati mechanic. In my experience Giovanni is the best Ducati mechanic , he did my 1199 Panigale, and I'm really happy for what he did and another big point he is honest, that is very important for me. Before go to him I called 4 of his customers , and they told me positive things about him.
His number is 647 800 34 84,
