Sept 9th - Sunday Ride Up North - Weston and Rutherford Tim Hortons. 8:45 AM(leave)

it was in a underwater case, I doubt there was wind noise.
I think the camera was just vibrating in it.

ps I watched it with the sound off, this was just for the guys to see if they wanted.

plus once out of the water case its so small it shouldnt shake as much.

Who was Johnny no patience with the orange helmet at 16:30 in vid 2?

Not the greatest etiquette.

Your name suits you my friend.

Etiquette was pass the guy on a straight if you feel you're being held back and work your way to the front depending on how fast you want to go....

It wasn't a nanny ride and buddy made a clean pass on the outside...

Had a good days guys good experience even no i downed my bike ,no fear get back on an go , ima keep riding an learning an ill be back for sure Good Ride

You where doing better after just remember what I told you about body position and staying on the gas!!.

Loneronin for your info that was me who made the statement after getting gas when we grouped together about waving the next rider on if you are being pushed and I gotta side with slowbird ,firstly I didn't see any wave on and the rider in the orange helmet didn't exactely show much patience and yes he passed in a straight but the straight was probably only 100-150 metres long going into a hard turn now lets just say he messed up and went in too hot or went wide braked or whatever that definitely would've and could've caused them both to go down.A straight-away should have enough time to speed up pass and merge into lane with ample room between riders.I know the rider with the orange helmet is a very capable rider I was behind him on southwood for a little while but not everyone knows each others capabilities on a group ride with total strangers

BTW if and I am not sure of this but if you were the guy on the 250 in an all black race suit trying to jump to the front of the group at a light using the excuse " Your exhaust fumes are bothering me" spiel is not cool and ****** off some of the more advanced riders

true, this wasnt a green group
This group had its share of green in it.
Riding etiquette wasnt to my like'ing but it wasnt my ride so i kept my mouth shut.
There was a number of times that i thought holy crap that guys cutting it close, or hes going to hot into that corner with the worst body posture ive ever seen..
But hey was a great ride, great bunch of guys and I had a blast :)

hey binette, I think I have a pair of front flush mounts from my old katana if u want them.

I thought everyone was pretty good acept for some of the passing of cars. quit a few times I thought why the hell are u still over there and when you have 6 guys passing 1 car in a small space with the first guy going very very slow to pass. one car for sure had to brake hard for you guys

besides the passing there where a bunch of people who new there limits and stayed with them, didnt realy see any one trying to run with the pack just to be there

don't really have no problem with how the ride went for the most part of course there will be some issues but what gets my goat is when slowbird commented on a pass then gets the"your name fits you" isn't right, does he know slowbird to be slow and if he is so what, what's up with the attitude

ya forsure, would love the flush mounts!!! they will fit my year of model?? how much you want for them???

+1

The only thing that really bothered me was that some people couldn't manage to leave even a couple bike lengths behind you. It's one thing to ride up someone's tailpipe that you've been riding with for years, and even that's not a wise decision, but to have someone you don't know constantly pushing you it's extremely unnerving. I also saw a little double file riding in the twisty stuff. guys (and gals) as soon as it starts to get twisty, ride single file. give the rider ahead of you lots of space, even if you think you might be able to pass him/her around the next bend. these bikes pick up so quick that it doesn't take much more throttle to leave someone 50-100ft of space and still have plenty of time to complete a pass. that being said, if you feel like you're holding someone up, move over and wave them by. don't make them pass in a less than optimal place.

oh bro that would be sick!!! thanks alot for real.. hey is your gsxr an 89 aswell cuz i was looking into buying an 89 gsxr from sarnia last month but in couldnt get out there...so i had to settle for the gsx katana that was in belleville cuz it was a little closer to get up there and get

We didn't ran into your guys and the route we picked was pretty quiet, and not much traffic either.

yep...dunno any of the places you mentioned but I remember that little gas station and you rolling in, I asked one of the guys "Is that gas tank under the tail...?"

Also BlueVFR what bike were you?? The silver BMW? I've ridden with you before but didn't recognize you...

Thanks for the ride and fun times guys, hopefully get in a few more before the season is out.

ahh an thats the 96 in your picture?? i didnt no they had double headlights like that way up in the 90's but obviously im wrong

The passing at some points were a little iffy. I saw some people pass when they SHOULD NOT HAVE (read: very close to a blind turn they couldn't see around) and I also saw some people not passing when they had lots of time to. I was a little slow at passing also, there's only so much you can push an engine making ~35-40whp (for those I talked to that said the GS should be pumping out more: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v443/jcp8832/MikesGS500dynoRuns.jpg here a dyno from a slight modded, otherwise stock, GS.) I would imagine all of the 250's would have a bit of a hardball passing at speed also.

And at a few points I was behind someone going slower than I wanted to through the corners and was riding close to them to let them know I wanted to pass, but they never waved me on. And my bike doesn't put out enough power to overtake a litre bike on the straights. Everytime I got close enough I had to slow down for a corner.

Other than that, was a great ride.

And man did that road give my bike a beating. I'm definitely upgrading my suspension asap, those last set of tracks destroyed them (already super soft from factory, so not that hard to do.) I think my rear is leaking a bit now. And I wasn't even going fast enough to catch air! Anyone know anyone selling a Katana 600 or 750 rear shock?
