Sept 29 TMP or SMP

Ton of crashes and runoffs at TMP today...
Only 1 resulted in a red flag with the ambulance busting out on track.
Heard the rider had his bike land on him, both slid off track at which point the bike caught traction and pinwheeled off into the rhubarb. Rider's helmet was destroyed according to the person I was chatting with.
Don't know details beyond that.

Yikes!!!

So tricky when the track is so cold!!!

I hope it's super warm for Oct 6th/7th! I don't wanna scuff up my pretty bodywork, or find out how strong the metal rod in my leg is.

Cold tires is why took a spill in the morning. broken bar end and hurt pride :( lol

Going to ordered a set of tire warmers soon.

All in all the day was great, and had a lot of fun nice to meet some new riders.

Hope the rider is alright after he took that spill in front of me on turn one (blue GSX-R) Seemed alright when i pulled off to help, just shaken up. (got in trouble from the marshal but the accident looked pretty nasty)

Another guy in green took a spill in turn three and had two thumbs after the spill. (got to watch that one too)

Nothing to serious in yellow other than the blue gsx-r taking a low side to highside spill.

Tempter really played a factor today, I learned my lesson.

Had a good day at SMP. One very minor mishap coming into the pits, and a couple mechanical problems in the group. Other than that, it all was good. Even the lunch was good.

After running into minor track day killers .... I finally made it threw a whole day again without something falling apart lol feels great to be out every session with minor tweaks. Hope everyone who wrecked is ok and the only damage yhey got is in their wallets.

I guess you don't need to listen at riders meeting then?

Didn't mention it in riders meeting, guess it was one of those known rules. sorry.

It was a stupid mistake, but I knew I was the last one on, and it was a pretty nasty accident, just reaction i guess.

Lesson learned.

refer to the last line on my signature. :p

Couple of my long-term buds, both of them only got out on the track twice this year... glad they made it.

Me chasing down my buddy Bruno on my 05. Wow does it handle bad compared to the 08 now. Need to do something about the fairings and paint, too... winter project in the making. I was riding pretty well for only having hit Shannonville twice this year myself... been at Calabogie on the big power bike.

Rob styling it pretty well on his ZX-6R with fresh transmission. He drums for C0ndu1t FYI

My buddy Martin on the fat purple gixxer. I've wrenched on that thing more than my own bikes this year, :D

Corner 7: get your turn done hard; early and you can get back on the gas.. and don't brake coming out of 6b. Don't know if I was on a fast lap or not, I was all over the place, alternating between getting newbs to follow me and hunting down passes.

Another, cooler-looking tactic... just keep your speed up, go a bit deep and carry the speed through the corner. Experience dictates that this isn't a faster line than the one above very often, but your milage may vary. I very often pass people on the brakes into 8, which you need the straight speed to accomplish.

TT Dan Caron for taking pics. He was mostly taking images of his friends, so... sorry I don't have much to share of anyone else who came from GTAM.

They actually did mention it at the meeting .... They were yalking about crashing and then proceeded to say dont stop to help your buddie and let the paramedic do his job. Not trying to be a dick but it definitly was mentioned

must have missed that part, again, I apologize.

All in all great day. I had a rookie mistake ran of the track slow but hit the brakes on the grass after seeing a hole full of water. At the end of the day cracked fairing
