Self Check Out or Use Cashier

You do realize a whole lot more people than just the check-out person has touched your food items before you even picked it off the shelf, right?
The one i take care of very carefully is the shopping cart handles.Nose pickers and ass scratchers!Ugggh

The only issue I have with using a self-checkout is that many of them don't accept cash, or provide cash-back. When making a smaller purchase I prefer to use cash and many of the newer self-checkout machines don't allow that option. Since my bank has just a single branch in Orangeville and only one other ATM location, the only way to get cash without a service fee, is cash-back from a store cashier.

My son and I were in Peru last year, the guide we had warned us the food in the market while super cheap was super dangerous for non locals. They clean and rinse the chicken in the same 5 gal plastic pail where they rinse thier hands and wash the dishes. Its been that way forever, so if your from there ok, for the rest of us oy vey.....
Hahahah it's dangerous for locals as well. My friend who is a local warned me about it when I was down there in April. I had it on a previous trip down there, yes cheap and good. Luckily I didn't have any problems, but now I know better. But my other friend who ordered a burger at a restaurant got bad food poisoning. He showed me the burger half way through eating it, and says "does this look right" wasn't cooked properly. Needless to say he was out of commission the next day.

If you had a chance to check out Bembos (not brakes) in Lima, those are some good burgers.

I was in Turkey one time and this old guy was grilling meat in the local square. It smelled delicious....I bought some and never even thought about where the dude washed his hands etc. I had the ***** for a week. Never again.

How is that substantially different from the guy selling hot dogs in front of Canadian Tire?

Likely it's not. However most hotdog carts are now available with hot/cold running water so the option is there if they want it.

Educated guess would say the guy in Turkey doesn't have to deal with those formalities.

A friend real estate agent told me about a very expensive home in the gta that he wanted to show to a buyer. He did a walk around first and found that all 5 bathrooms had no bathroom tissue in them. Beside each toilet was a plastic pail with mirky soapy water. The owner of the home owned several restaurants.
Friend left that one for someone else to deal with.

Make sure not to shake the owner's left hand.
