second hand car question

You got an alright deal, the Ranger is not an expensive truck to buy brand new...
came with added running boards,push bar,tool box, power windows and locks. seen 3 of same with 60000kms or more for $1000 more and without the add ons this one had.
i know its a cheaper truck but with a 4900 towing rating its great.
 
So if someone re-end you and insurance just had the car repaired. It means that when you re-sell it, the value of the car decreases, so who suffer the costs of that decrease? The owner?

Yes you can get screwed. There is a term for it, Accelerated depreciation. In some states insurance pays up for it but here the owner gets stiffed. It can cost thousands depending on the make / model. I think B.C. has it as well but the Ontario companies flat out tell you to suck it up because we get such low rates.
