Scotland Referendum Will Be Like 1995 Quebec Referendum

No matter the outcome, Scotland and the United Kingdom will carry on just fine. Scotland has been England's ***** for years. They want to feel equal to England. The truth is, Scotland's needs the UK and the UK needs Scotland.

Problem with partnering with Northern Ireland is their businesses and tax base. Their 3rd biggest gross domestic producer up and pulled their business and moved it to the Netherlands when the government pulled their lucrative tax breaks. And when your 3rd biggest "industry" is a band, you're in deep doo-do.

U2 is from the other Ireland (Republic, Southern...). Northern Ireland is part of the UK (United Kingdom and Northern Ireland).

So does this means Ireland gets independence too?

I'm a Scot, born in Edinburgh. Most of my (numerous) relatives still reside there. It's definitely age split with my cousins and nieces/nephews on the yes side and my Aunts and Uncle's on the No side. Hearts vs heads. I'm on the no side, and as much as I hate the English colonist wankers, it's a better gig. I'll call it out and say it'll be a No...

I should add, regardless of the outcome Scotland will never be the same.

Silent majority has spoken, it was a close race at the start. Impressive turn-out #'s.

Not sure if devo max will just end up being a smoke and mirror show for the Scot's.

there is a small mix, but as much Dutch/German in the mix now, actually maybe more with the current bunch. House of Windsor is the current run. The Scottish line was House of Stuart which had James 1 on the throne but that was late 1590's? For many centuries being King was a risky business in England, they had civil wars, political upheavals , suspected poisonings and beheadings and the odd one locked up in the looney bin.

The Scots know the the UK is done. They want out of there before the Sh-t hits the fan.
Crash of 2008 was a warm up.

So today, Scots have the right to decide whether or not to separate from the United Kingdom. It is thought that voter turnout will be high and will be too close to call. As with Quebec separatists, their reasons for wanting to leave are more social and cultural. I am wondering how an independent Scotland and a newly broken up UK would fare economically?

So why did they vote No then lol.

To facilitate my wall-building project.. It would get difficult if I had to wall off the island but avoid Scotland

Correct, but Antonine is situation in middle Scotland, nowhere near the English border.

Right the roman kept trying to push up and had to abandon it. Both sites are spectacular.

Scotland is a great place to visit. Still having my British passport i'm glad they didn't split. Not that i would have really changed anything for me!
