Scooter people, pls 'splain.

Too cool:)

Saw your scooter the other day while I was doing my patrols. I need to stop by one day.

I was scooting around in a Hugo Boss suit on Friday. :)

58 yo rider
50 yo scoot
18 yo suit

Yeah, suitonascoot, never felt so silly. And I for sure wasn't draggin' my boards on the corners. ;)

Please do ...

Hugo Boss suits have gone downhill over the years. Is it an older model?

In any case they're expensive to fix if you fall off.

you would be wrong....full meal deal. :D

and the Burgman has been in that space for a while as these reviewers discovered.

and these 10,000 riders know...

back to our regularly scheduled program of disinformation.

An automatic shifter?
A trunk that can hold a full face helmet, where that gas tank normally is?
Is that what turns a motorcycle into a scooter?

Doesn't look like it'll be eating very much at that price tag.

Suit's from '93, bought for weddings & funerals. I don't have much need for a suit other than that. Last time it was out was a funeral in Sept '07. This time was a wedding and only a 3 km backstreet ride.

Squids using a scooter

what's the chances of high siding on a scooter? And the protection lies in the leg shields as in your leg is not in a vulnerable position and you'd just fall off your scooter and hopefully have a safe landing. Anyways try riding a scooter for a day before commenting on them.

And the guy crashing his scooter into the barriers took a low line before the corner and tried to adjust with his feet instead of trying to apply some rear brakes and give it some good lean angles from there.

I want a scooter for blasting around in a city.

I think it would be fun.

Been on a scooter before. Wanted more gear. Seen women on them with short skirts, nylons and high heels.

My biggest bug with scooters is how they go from pretending to be motorcycles, then bikes, then just bikes on the sidewalk (pedestrians?) and back again at whim. Pretty unpredictable. Same goes for a lot of bikers in Toronto too. Sidewalk or road? Pick one and follow the rules.

I have no issues with scooters. I even think the Honda Ruckus is pretty neat. It's the e-bikes I have an issue with. It seems the majority of them cannot figure out the rules of the road. I've seen them do some ridiculously dangerous maneuvers. Pulling out in front of traffic to use the left turn lane without even looking, carrying inappropriate things on them. E.g., I saw one flip-flopped woman on an e-bike take a lane on Burnhamthorpe near Square One (at rush hour no less), with a huge duvet placed where her feet were supposed to go. My bff saw a woman with her dog at her feet on one the other day. And if they're not weaving in traffic, they're mowing people down on the sidewalks.

If they're parked across the sidewalk blocking pedestrian traffic what are our options? Especially, the big Burgman 650's, they can take up an entire sidewalk by themselves.
Can I have my kids climb all over them and leave sticky fingerprints, move it out onto the road where it should be, call a green hornet?

This should be no surprise considering e-bikes are the DUI bikes or people that have lost their license because of bad driving. Don't need insurance or driver license to ride one.

pic or it never happened ...bro.

Putting a 600 lb Burgman up on a sidewalk to block YOUR walking path is exceptionally unlikely.....

You taking a cheap shot at Burgman riders with no basis in fact....exceedingly likely.

sure a Burgman Trike parked in an alley is supposed to prove what.....
what are you third man in??

A new Burgman is $15k or so out the door and very very unlikely to be parked on a sidewalk blocking pedestrians......
get real.....

***** to the city council if you don't like the bylaws. Parking a EScoot is no different than a bicycle in space.
I'm sure the cagers are all incenses about mcycles lane splitting and playing squirrels in traffic.
Get out and ride and quitcherbellyachin'
