I'm trying to get some time off in August to go for a road trip - probably between Aug 12-20 and maybe the whole 9 days if things line up.
Ideally the trip would be at least 6 days long and head along the north shore of the St. Lawrence to the Saguenay region. If I have the time, I would go over to the end of the 138 and/or up to Manic Cinq, but we'll see how much time is available. Maybe spend a day off the bike and do a whale watching boat trip out of Tadoussac. Nothing fixed right now other than must ride lots of good roads.
If you've ridden with me before the pace will be a bit more relaxed, but still fun. There will be a few longer days but I'm trying to keep most of them to around 8-10hrs each, with time to get off the bike and take in the scenery. I'm not fixed on any routes yet, but would like to avoid Montreal/QC and take a slightly more northern route there & back from the GTA. I already know a lot of good roads, because I've helped others plan out road trips to this area and they have told me the routes were amazing.
Haven't decided on tenting vs motelling yet either or where to spend each night, but am open to whatever.
No intentional gravel, because I'm on a street bike with street tires.
Anyone up for a road trip?
