The KLR and the 920R have both gone to new homes. I gotta say I miss the KLR, the 920 not so much, but it was a fun project.

That sound like a very telling comment on the KLR. Which gen?

I know what’s involved with an old Bullet, I picked it up for a laugh, and to ride around town, I have better rides for daily and touring use.

Parts are widely available and cheap.

Is it perhaps the olive drab military looking one with metal panniers?

Gen 1, lime green. Not the best at anything, but as the British would say "adequate" at just about everything.
