Went to Royal in Innisfil on friday....crappy day was off, figured drive there and see about getting a helmet and a summer textile jacket and stuff. The helmet I've been wanting was suppose to be there in April...now May 10 and none available for customers....? Not saying their fault completely...they do have it advertized in the catalogue...wtf? I ordered one just in case one becomes available sometime...not able to tell me when it will come in.
The jacket selection is pitiful for summer riding conditions...and if they had one...not much size selection.
Spent a hour there....lookin around. Lots of staff and they do try to help...just what a waste of time ...my fault should have called first.
I will go to GP next time....they usually have a great selection from past experiences

I literally live around the corner and prefer to drive to the Guelph location over the Innisfil one if i cant get what I need from GP Bikes. Pretty sad that their service is so bad I have to drive 2hrs to get good service when there is a location right in my backyard.

^^ For real? Other than two ladies that work in Guelph I find them the most useless bunch to try and get help from (and it's 20 mins away from me). If you go in there looking for something that isn't behind the counter you're good but if you have to stand in line on a saturday to hear "uhhhhhh.... ummmmmm.....errrrrr" you'll see what i mean. I've had nothing but good service in Innisfil though. Clothing wise I find Guelph great and I can find everything myself.

My wife asked a girl at Innisfil if she could get some soap or paper towels for the bathroom and she told my wife "we do not provide soap or paper towels in the bathroom because people steal them" my wife said thanks and offered her to shake her hand and she refused. We contacted head office in Guelph and ended up going to see the manager there which is probably why we had the great service. We have returned a couple times and always dealt with the same lady in Guelph. All that being said I much prefer to deal with Tom at GP or anyone else there.

^^^ Well played by your wife.

The women at Innisfil were very nice.... they even were frustrated at the lack of choice...LG to XLG plain black summer jacket....not wanting the cheapest crap. Way more staff there than customers on a friday early afternoon. Usually go at least once maybe twice a year....the last 4-5 yrs walk away with nothing. Bad luck maybe?

GP > Royal...big time. I recently spent over an hour at Royal in Whitby picking up something I ordered during the no-tax sale cause the cashier girl was adamant I needed to pay for it...even though the receipt I provided AND their system said I left a full deposit. Never again. GP is closer by a good 30 seconds anyway ;)

Royal is definitely not known for their service, only their price

Sent from my tablet using my paws

Must post that they did call the other day and got my helmet today rockin a new look.
The girl at the counter was very helpful ...thumbs up

I was in there too over the weekend, Im in the market for a new Arai helmet ... what I've noticed that royal in innisfil carries a lot of old demo helmets, I was very interested in an ARAI isle of man tt helmet that they had on demo (last one for sale), there was a reasonable mark down, from 1079 to 799, I asked if they could maybe do better on the price since they're were some scratches and scuffs on the side probably from rubbing other helmets, but the best they said they could do was an extra 10 dollars off. I guess I was being a bit greedy with the price. But I was expecting maybe an extra 100 off. Other then that, I haven't had too many bad experiences with royal, they've been pretty helpful .

How is the selection in the Whitby location? Thinking of heading up there Sunday. Sucks GP is closed though.

If you're in Newmarket, why wouldn't you have checked out Suzuki? We do have jackets, and if it's not what you want, at least it's close.

Over the years I've been to SON maybe 4x and each time I've left shaking my head saying that'll be the last time....mind you...you haven't been there ...so just maybe I'll try again.

I'm not there today but will be Tuesday-Saturday next week. Even if you don't end up buying anything, you might as well check out the local store before taking the drive to GP or Royal.

Yep that's it, also it's not Royal Distributer's fault about the lack of large and XX large jackets, they are quickly sold out because everybody buys them up, this is Canada where most males are fat and chubby.

I find that ever since Royal moved to the new bigger store it has less stuff that I would want to buy. If you have a dirt bike or ATV your good to go, but not so much with a motorcycle. I find their motorcycle section pathetic.

I got their spring/summer catalog a few weeks back. 480 pages of Mx/Atv stuff and 20 for street bikes.
