Rotella Oil on Sale

Went over to Canadian Tire tonight and they have three kinds of Rotella oil. I wonder which one would be best for my 650R? I read that many are not noticing any difference between the T6 (5W40) and T triple (15W40), but wanted to hear what you guys thought. The T5 and T6 are now on sale for $29/5L, but the T triple is only $18/5L.

Where is it on sale? I went to Canadian tire yesterday and there was no sale.

You can use any of them but T6 is the full synthetic.
Is it a "real" full synthetic though (ester/Group V)? I thought there were only a few "real" synthetics left after the regulations changed.

*edit: nevermind, I see the T6 is a PAO/Group IV oil, not a bad deal.

For some reason I thought I read somewhere that it was a "hydrocracked group III". But that research was a few months ago and I have since forgotten what that even means.

Hmmm. There seems to be quite a debate on if it's III or IV! Even shell themselves wouldn't confirm what group it is!!! Sources close to shell said it wasn't IV, so I guess we'll go with that.

The 0W-40 is a group IV and the 5W-40 is a group III+ (hydroisomerized slack wax). I believe the 5W-40 has the JASO MA certification.

Rotella is on sale again at CTIRE. 25% off all types.
Shell Rotella T 15W-40 conventional oil now lists on its packaging JASO MA as one of the specifications it meets, as does the Rotella website product page:
Note that the 10W-30 conventional oil does not list JASO-MA.
The newer fully synthetic T6 5W-40 oil also lists JASO-MA compliance on its packaging and on the Rotella website.

How convenient! I was just saying to a bud on Monday how I needed to restock on T6 but didn't want to ride to the boarder. Stay out from Milton, I"m cleaning their loc. out XD

Thanks for the heads up!
