ROGO is the name and ridin' is the game...

Welcome to the forum and I agree it is quite addictive and enjoyable! Do enjoy and ride safe. Cheers

^ thanks for the invite Roy. I'm having my riding course the very following day lol! I will love to join you as soon as I pass my M1 exit and get a bike, hopefully within 2 weeks.

Oh Wow, you're a real Noob. Good luck with the M2 test. Until then... stay far away from me. Bwah hahaa!!!

:D

PM me if you're interested in a 250.

Hey hotshot , how's it going with your new ninja?

1800km in 6 days. Oh yeah! Finally broke her in and she's sooooooo sweet!

Both my babies are good to me. But the ZX6R really gets my juices flowing. She just keep getting smoother and smoother.

been following your xp with the new zx6r, what made you choose it over say the gsx6r?
am on the fence debating whether to go for gsxr or the zx?

I recommend you test drive each and see which feels best to you. Between the Kawi and GSXR I was actually considering the 750 and not the 600 as I found the GSXR600 lacking for some reason. I found the ZX6R IMO seemed just as powerful as the 750 and was a little more fun and smoother when going through the gears.

Ultimately what put me over the top was the price. I basically got the 2011 for the price of a 650 Sport Touring bike with the Kahuna Fathers day special. So for me it was a no brainer. I get the bike I wanted this season for much lower than the price I was gonna pay next season. :)

So far I'm very happy with my decision. Even though the GSXR had a few more electronic toys. I've learned to ride so that the initial pain I had from SS ride position is almost non existent. Keep in mind that if you plan on using the bike for commuting, it's not the most ideal when she's not moving. She's great when moving but stop her in traffic and she heats up fast. Especially in weather like yesterday. That's when I'm glad I still have the 250 for the stop and go stuff.

But alas I'm not sure what I will do with my trusty 250. I still ride it every day. Such a reliable bike and great on gas. Speaking of which you may want to check and see if the GSXR requires 90+ Octane. May save you a bit at the pump in future.

Thx for the input
just wish they had abs on these 600ss, only honda has but it has no slipper clutch
i found i could flatfoot much easier with the gsxr than the kawi, the tank flares up more on the zx
but you are right the zx packs quite a punch

Anytime!

And Yes, you are probably similar height as me since what you state is about what I feel too. However, I did get used to the bike and it's only been a week. As stated she keeps growing on me. :)

Comfort is key though, my friend. So go with a bike that makes you feel confident versus compromised. If safety is a big concern for you then you may want to consider ABS over everything else.

Question? Where do all you Toronto people like to ride?

Out here in the boonies, we have so many nice places to meet and ride.

Can someone please PM a nice route in the city with Meet spot location. One day I'd like to setup a Friday evening ride to the city that's biker friendly. Much appreciated.

Well, I'm in the Brampton area. I was referring to outside of Toronto when I said Boonies. Specifically North of Brampton, Milton, Burlington, Waterdown, Hamilton area all have some really nice roads.

I'd be interested in finding a route in Toronto to organize a group ride. Most rides I've been on or setup have been outside of Toronto.
