rogers dropping speed tv

I don't have cable or satellite. The only thing I make time to watch is supercross. There are some sites that stream and there are a couple guys that always have a good stream.
justintv or ustream.
Can even watch snocross on one of the channels which is nice.

No idea why we can't just pick and choose what channels we want and pay that way... Could have a pretty solid list with just 10 specific channels with no need for the other 1000 (most of which are duplicates anyways).
 
Most of the F1 races are on SPEED. They will lose alot of viewers because of that alone.
 
It has been years since you've been able to watch F1 live on Speed, due to TSN buying the rights. There has been talk of Sportsnet trying to get them, but it hasn't happened yet.

What we see as "SPEED" is a channel that doesn't really exist - SPEED was rebranded as Fox Sports some time ago. For some reason, maybe because NASCAR isn't too big up here, they have been quietly offering a channel to some carriers which has some content from Fox Sports, and then just a whole bunch of re-runs of SPEED produced shows. Rogers is probably justifying dropping it because it is now guaranteed to be mostly stale content. Nevermind that they basically did the exact same thing to OLN themselves, but whatever. I don't see any mention of Rogers considering Fox Sports, which sucks because they were still covering some live racing that wasn't NASCAR, e.g. Rolex 24.

Also, I would rather listen to the SPEED F1 coverage than TSN's BBC feed any day. It drives me crazy how the BBC commentators have to point out every single thing that's happening on screen as if I'm blind, whereas Bob Varsha et al would spend their time talking about stuff that is less obvious (minus the "Your first F1 race" things they were contractually obligated to talk about)
 
I used to enjoy speed. NOt anymore. It has become more of a Redneck Channel
 
If Speed was the carrier for Moto GP on Rogers. Does anyone know what channel if any will cover the Moto GP this year?

Are you serious?? BBC has David Coulthard and Eddie Jordan. Who the hell is Bob Varsha? That's like preferring Greg Creamer over Toby and Julian for MotoGp!!

I particularly HATE Coulthard's commentary as he second guesses just about everything every driver does

Fair comment, but in DC's defence, Martin Brundle is a million times worse for this, and hasn't even driven any time close to modern day F1.

They are a reseller like Teksavvy or Acanac. Install is done by Bell or Rogers tech.

TV is IPTV through an Android based media box. Works quite well. You can also run tons of other Android apps on the box like Netflix, Youtube, Skype, and even XBMC.

Picture quality is not on par with Bell or Rogers imo, but it depends on the connection.

They have some deal going with Canada Computers so if you wanted to check it out they have a display in store(At least my local CC does).
 
For those who want to dare to compare milk and Aero, the Supercross from last night just got uploaded to pirate bay about 5 mins ago. Been taking about 5-6 hours to finish when in from the start over the last couple weeks
