rogers dropping speed tv

It's a shame. Despite the NASCAR-centricity and all their faux-reality programming, they were a source of much of the motorsports I watched (Lemans, DTC, WTCC, TUDOR, and of course MotoGP).

Based on the ticker running throughout the Rolex 24, it's Rogers that is dropping the service.

So I refuse to use Bell and Rogers has ****** me off about this so who do I switch my services to? I need TV and internet.

who cares? Those ****ers forced me to buy an extra $30 package for 10 yrs just to get Speed Channel.....so they got $3000 out of me just so I could watch a race once in a while, then they proceed to drop bike Tuesdays, then drop the ball on Daytona200 and many AMA races....then MotoGP is gone....**** them. They can all rot. I got sick of spendign $200+ with Rogers and Bell.
Hello Teksavvy unlimited, and Future TV. Saved myself $2000 this year alone.

I went through the same thing. IIRC I had to take Showcase and Bravo, at the time, in order to get Speed. Then they preempted Speed for football without giving Speed viewers any choice in the matter, for a whopping big $5.00 a month rebate. Now I watch Showcase more than Speed.

Speed vision has morphed into a mere shadow of its former self, but the cable providers claim too limited an audience for things like Lemans, Rolex series and MotoGp. And of course the cost to purchase those shows and re air, its about making money not really showing what we would like to see, if a game show, and five days of barret jackson auctions has more viewers and cost the network less.........guess what we are going to get.

Cogeco is keeping speed so far, but there is less to watch on the network these days.

There is more to that channel than how to beat a redneck.

I was watching the dirty bikes last night on Speed, plus decent coverage from Daytona this weekend.

This decision by Rogers/Fox is enough for me to move my business to Bell.

Yeah, but the dirt bike race aired on Fox on Saturday night, Live! I downloaded the race for free yesterday, and watched it in HD.

For anyone that is unaware, search for Pirate Bay user "slicknick0610" and this guy is the king of uploading Supercross.

I have a racingforme account, but still prefer to watch stuff live.

So do I, thank the good lord. Supercross never goes up there for days, though. I know what you mean about watching live, but to be honest I will take a 2 hours old BBC or Eurosport broadcast over a live Speed TV one any day of the week. Same goes for F1. European vs North American coverage is not even a conversation worth having there is such a vast difference. NFL Football coverage is what you compare European racing coverage to.

Death to Speed TV, long live the internet.
