....and this is why I will never go to central America.

All the more reason to ride a klr....at least they didn't steal their bike!

This is why you keep armed. Reminds me of that piece of **** armed bike thief in Brazil that got double tapped in the chest. Wish there would be more Justice like that in the world.

that's why i don't go travel in 3rd world countries. wanna see a beautiful place? the swiss alps or canadian rockies look quite beautiful to me.

Truer words have never been spoken!
They're cheap, yes, but you might pay with your life. I guess for some who have never experienced it, they have no idea how bad it can be

I wonder what would have happened if they just kept on riding. I don't think they would have been shot.

I assume you're a betting man

People like that just want your money, I doubt they would have fired a shot if you just kept on riding. Keep it gangsta!

Some find it safest to enjoy the beauty of the world from the comfort of their couch looking up at a shiny new LED TV. Seems safer unless of course you live in Tupelo, Mississippi. Or what about a night out at the movies? Batman seemed like a safe bet for a bunch of folks in Aurora, Colorado a couple of years ago.

Somehow the video above seems to pale in comparison to some of the violence that happens on our own doorstep. Don't get me wrong, that event looked pretty scary. But let's not be ignorant about how dangerous life is right here at home. How many robberies occur in Toronto every single day yet hundreds of thousands of people still visit, or even *gasp* live there. Although I admit I've heard there are those that refuse to come to TO because it's too scary for them. There's definitely some effed up s*i* that happens right here and yet we don't think twice about heading out of our homes, or riding our bikes even though it is (arguably) more dangerous than driving an SUV. Thousands die every year on Canada's roads yet all of us are still riding on them. I was just reading a post by another GTAMer that almost got taken out while he was about to make a right hand turn. I think most would prefer to experience what happened in that video in some 3rd world country rather than getting creamed by some texting idiot driver 2 blocks from home.

But hey, RYOR...

The comments on that youtube video is actually really stupid/entertaining....
You got the:
-"**** that country" people
---->"**** the people that said, "**** that country""
-"Thats why Americans have guns" people
-"Stupid tourists, should've known better" people
-"Glad you're okay" people
-----> Which have been over run by the other 3 points above

Gun in holster beside GPS. Bang bang and keep on moving.

I believe those countries have antigun laws. But if you're talking about an illegal firearm, i have no comments

Drawing and firing on a guy who already has a gun pointed at you, while wearing motorcycle gloves and having to deal with at least one buddyboy in the bushes.. Yeah, great idea  I'm all for having a gun handy for self-defense, but in some situations, it's just not a smart idea.
