I get road rage standing on the sidewalk watching people do dumb **** in cars... don't even get me started while I'm driving/riding... sigh.

Buddhacide, I don't know how you maintained composure in that situation. I would have definitely followed him to wherever the **** he was going and gave him a personal lesson on manners by ruining his **** thoroughly. Stomp on his ****ing throat.

LOL, I didnt at all. I wanted to kill him. I told him to get out of his car twice. He just kept waving his hands and bitching at me. Then he sped off. Problem is if it ever comes down to it, your're likely to get arrested. There's no anonymity in downtown traffic. Someone would get my plate and i'd be done for plate. Now if he hits me first.....

Anyway, this is all bravado. I have a bad temper in traffic but I'm not a vioelnt person. Odds are are I'm going to mouth off to the wrong person one day, and I'll be the one getting hit.

thats why you wear your cow hide, leather carbon gloves and a full face helmet.....just imagine trying to punch someone packing that much defence lol, the person will need a new pair of teeth if they want to bite through the motorcycle gears hahhahah

my story on road rage, i almost died 3 times on my way back from school (Mississauga to markham) i stopped at a rbc bank for money and the teller asked " sir, its so nice outside , why are you so pale and shivering, must be awesome riding in this weather...blah blah blah". I told her " I was 1) almost rear ended by an asian lady cause she was putting her face on while driving; 2) young teen talking to her bff on a blackberry (yes i was that close) cause she wanted to merge without looking; 3) reckless teen driving a pickup and filtering through traffic like its as small as a smart car." ALL within the distance of highway 7 (400 exit -> markville mall) around 3:00pm. don't believe me? try driving/riding at that hour and location, you'll be surprised to see so many "smart" people in this world.

call it rage, call it rant...but after 5 years of driving in Canada and 1 year in Hong Kong without any incident...I think we safe drivers/riders have taken way too much pressure from these reckless individuals (insurance rates) ...time to do something about it.

I chalk up road rage to driver frustration. With commute times so high its no wonder people are doing things behind the wheel they aren't supposed to be. Last night it took me 2.5 hours to get from Dufferin and Gardener to Liberty st Bowmanville. When I tell most people about this drive they think I'm insane to even attempt it. Truth is its only 85 kms, and mostly highway driving. Should theoretically take less than an hour. I notice a lot of cars on the DVP with me and are still there in Oshawa. By Oshawa a lot of them are losing patience, jumping lanes cutting in and out making some really risky maneuvers.

Most people who don't understand other peoples commute times will often say things like they should leave 15 minutes earlier or they should have done this at home. But if people have kids to drop off at a certain time and then have to make it to work at a certain time, sometimes they'll be driving crazy to catch an outbound train.

I try and keep these things in my mind when I see someone almost taking a life to save a few seconds. There is a lot of talk of people not have patience anymore. Not really sure if its that they don't have patience or that they're under a lot of stress and pressure to get something done.

If you wanna try a stress relief, if someone cuts you off in traffic. Give them a double tone of your horn and a wave as though you understand, and you might find your blood pressure lowering.

All that being said some people are just self absorbent *** holes that aren't under any stress, but its hard to pick them out of a crowd.
