Not sure if anyone had met or heard of Tom, but he was an inspirational rider in the Hayabusa forum. He was the owner of I-SHOC which made strictly Hayabusa gear and apparel. He also had the highest recorded miles on a Hayabusa on his bike "Wasabi" at 257,039 Miles (He also had a previous Gen 2 model with 60,000 miles) . He had a trophy given too him and a picture taken with the head of Suzuki Japan honoring his dedication to the brand.

RIP Tom

Damn. What a way to go. RIP.

"The driver of a 2013 firetruck"? Are they dodging saying firefighter or was this a privately owned vehicle?

From talking with a few friends I know the police placed the firefighter at fault (was in fact on duty and didn't hookup and hinge the hose properly). So the silver lining if there is any is Toms family is suing them and will get quite a decent settlement.
