Right of way, Wrong?

No, because if you and I stopped at opposing stop signs, priority is given to whoever stopped first is provided right of way. Straight/turning should not be considered.
Some municipalities have special rules. In Markham and Brampton, you can seize ROW by turning on your blinkers after executing a rolling stop.

In Markham they wouldn’t know a road rule if it slapped them in the face.

I've driven in Markham and I'll take that over Brampton any day of the week.

Difference I notice is Brampton is much more aggressive. Things like speeding, red light running, tail-gating, etc. ... always trying to push the envelope of safety and taking risks.

Markham I see more calmness. In many cases, it's just downright dopiness but not the stupidity in Brampton and I'll take dopey over stupid/dangerous every time.

Brampton is adding 50 speed cameras. Will this improve behaviour or trigger more fake plates? If you are smart about design and selection of an alternate number, it would be quite a while before you got caught.

Back to the OPs question.

When both vehicles have a stop sign in an intersection, IMO first to a stop sign has the ROW. If it is a tie, it is supposed to go to the person on the right but in this case (opposite sides so no one is on the right) tie goes to the straight through. If you are both sitting at the stop sign waiting for traffic to clear I call this a virtual tie let the straight through go first and turn right after...

I am surprised people don't make up more fake plates (printer) with someone they do not like's plate and just spend the day speeding past cameras and red lights.... bonus points for a similar vehicle.

In a similar context, a 407 question I had always wondered, what happens if someone from out of province (or country) has the same plate as mine??? Well my buddy got a 407 bill, he has some nonsense/vanity custom plate. Turns out someone from the US has the same nonsensical plate/sense of humour. Buddy got the bill. Surprisingly enough 407 customer service was decent and cancelled the bill with very little fuss.
