Riding Jeans with CE armor and hip protection?

Draggin get some pretty bad reviews online if you search. A lot of bad reviews of those long john things, too.

I have a pair of kevlar jeans and under shorts with hip protection. But after my first low side and seeing the amount of impact and damage to the my alterego pants at only about 40km/h, I don't think I'll ever ride in jeans again...

I went with Sartso kevlar Jeans, the regular fit dark grey model, available from Riders Choice. Pretty pricey and they took a long time to arrive to the store (the promised three weeks turned into three months), but well worth it. They have pockets for optional knee armour, but I chose the Knox Flex Lite instead. I couldn't find the knee guards locally, so I had to buy them from a UK vendor on ePay, about $60, I think. The knee guards can irritate the backs of the knees after several hours and require readjustment, but I can live with that. They fit easily under the jeans and no one knows I have 'em on. I wore this combination on day long rides on some of the hottest days and was always comfortable.

Sartso also has plenty of relaxed fit or baggy style jeans for you younger folks.
